Granit Xhaka

Why not also asking if the players to decide if Dick can continue as coach/manager??

Wenger was outdated as a manager, but at least, he was a real manager.
Dick, is always a dick.

Ugh. I give him a lot of credit for giving it a go in his second language but he’s really not a great communicator is he?

Agreed. Should just publicly flame Unai, make his position untenable.

Debacle

Fucking club is run by weak willed fucking white knights that can’t make a damn decision by themselves. ā€œYou hurt Xhaka’s feelingsā€ get out of here, he would have been mobbed by the fans in Italy and Spain if he did what he did.

Emery should have came out and said he stripped Xhaka of the captains armband and dropped him from further games. Man the fuck up and show who’s the boss, none of this voting with players, if they don’t like it they can go join Ozil and Xhaka on the sidelines.

Why is the captaincy decided by the players anyway? This isn’t a popularity contest.

Someone needs to send his passing stats to Gazidis

Typical Arsenal bullshit PR.

Fuck Xhaka. Hope he gets a ton of abuse on his next appearence, because we all know he’s walking back into the team.

A club without a policy or a set of standards will not prosper. Individuals not being held to account will only lead to one outcome. Failure.
This boardroom is not fit for purpose.

I don’t know about you guys but that statement by our dear leader has really touched me. I’m welling up inside just thinking about it and yes I am ashamed…now Emery stop fucking about worrying about multi millionaire feeling sorry for themselves and manage the job you got or you can take the abuse from the fan instead !!

I thought it was a good response by Unai. And on Saturday he’ll ruin it by picking Xhaka and making him captain.

Would have been better for the club to downplay it and say nothing until they had their act together… all this sharing of tears and BS is just pathetic imho…

A simple ā€œXhaka is an emotional competitor and in that moment he was disappointed to be withdrawn and reacted out of passion… I will discuss with him. Nothing more the club will say about this.ā€

And then deal the fck with it behind the scenes, whatever that means. Now this is a MUCH bigger deal and the stakes and battle lines are becoming even more public… this is disaster imho… worse than Ozil mess. Emery fd this imho.

I wonder if sections of the Emirates crowd will boo his every touch the next time he plays for Arsenal. I know they’re petty enough to do that, just like the time they booed Higuain because he had the temerity to sign for Napoli and not Arsenal.

They also booed FĆ”bregas because when he chose to go to Chelsea after Wenger didn’t want to re-sign him. :sob:

That statement is a little ambiguous but, reading between the lines, I would guess Xhaka is devastated and sad.

The worst thing about him walking of the field and not sprinting, is that the new rules say you can leave the pitch anywhere.

Going to be fun on Saturday if he starts him and still gives him the captaincy for Wolves, and not even a apology. No way will Emery be that stupid, is he?.

The most inexplicable aspect of this entire Xhaka situation is the disconnect between how he is perceived within the club and on the outside.

By all accounts the players look to him as a leader (fuck me), and he’s very popular amongst the club hierarchy, other staff members etc. I understand that he might be an impressive guy in this way, but surely the players can’t want someone who is so error prone and lacks any kind of judgement as their leader in the matchday squad? If it’s true that so many of them look to Xhaka in this way, it really baffles the mind.
