Granit Xhaka

Wonder if he’ll get booed again if he starts at Anfield tomorrow.

I do like how he has gone full wwe heel, just for the pure spectacle and also because it will spell the end for him and Emery, I love that they are sticking to their guns on this. Just goes to show you the level of incompetence we are dealing with here.

If Xhaka starts the next game as captain in spite of him not issuing an apology, then that just confirms that the club hierarchy are disconnected from the fan base. I don’t understand how he can be allowed to play again, let alone captain the side without apologizing for his behaviour.

And what the fuck is this about asking him to apologize, asking the players for their opinion about whether or not to keep him captain? What about asking the fans what they think? How come the professionals who are being paid have a say in things but not the fans who pay their salaries?

Such a bunch of pussies running this club. Xhaka should have been told, not asked, to apologize or pack his bags and leave. And if the players had a problem with that, they just had to deal with it. This club cannot operate by pussyfooting around the fragile ego of one player and the weak mentality of his team mates. If the rest of the players can’t see how wrong Xhaka was, then they care about the fans about as much as he does.

This thing about the players supporting him and the chance of making things work. The board are guilty of avoidance here and escalating trouble.
Very badly handled this. I’d also say other team fan organisation have better relationship and can open better dialogue and nip this in the bud.
We look clueless on this and disassociated from the fan base.d

I don’t see how he can be captain without any sort of contrition over the incident.

I think the divide between the players and fans will grow, something doesn’t seem right there right now. It’s like the players don’t give two fucks for the fans feelings. They bloody knew that Xhaka would have been a awful choice of captain for the fans, they can’t be that stupid to know he’s not that well liked. The players live on cloud 9 and clearly don’t give two damns for what the fan’s think. You get the same reaction after defeats by them “oh we try harder next time” just don’t biy of those players at all.

Emery and the board have acted just as bad, Xhaka should be stripped of his captaincy and be told to look for another club. But nope they are sending out reports about Xhaka being “downtrodden” and getting council for this traumatic experience and that fan’s should be nicer to him. This club is still the same weak willed and white knighting bunch of bottlers it was under Wenger and Gazdis.

I don’t like to see that but doesn’t take away what he did on Sunday, and that he shouldn’t be captain and play for this club again. Most of them given him abuse aren’t even Arsenal fan’s. I’m sorry this agenda being pushed by some fans that Xhaka is a victim just ain’t flying for me. Turn off his messages on Social media and he won’t get fools sending him horrible messages.

The more I think about it, the more I actually sympathise with Xhaka.

At the end of the day Emery gave him the armband.

No matter how shit one plays, to be booed off by 50k people it kinda sucks, especially when he probably in his mind does everything he can to play well for Arsenal.

On a human level I can empathise with his reaction, it gets to you, you frustratingly react to the jeers and that is about it. Whether he needs to apologise or not. I am ambivalent about it. Kinda understand both sides here as well.

I forgot he had a new born. It can be a tiring stressful time.

He chose to be a footballer and have a child though, so he should just put up with it. And he gets paid enough. Rich people aren’t allowed to have feelings.

Thing about social media is it can be accessed world wide by anyone.

Those comments likely aren’t match goers or local fans. Probably fans of other teams or fans sitting in their rooms 3000 miles away who started supporting us this season.

A lot of imitation occurs during these types of situations to fuel the bad hype.

You guys seriously.
Xhaka most likely doesn’t even read replies on social media post.

He’s probably not even posting himself.
