Just to add here, I see it said in this piece because the effects of the ban (that lapsed) was unconvincing it wasnât even on legislative priorities driven by families of Sandy Hook victims.
As I said before, it isnât NRA people committing mass shootings. Doing some reading today I even see someone bring up that kids brought guns to school until the 1970s and yet mass shootings at that point were very low. It obviously is a mental illness issue, probably in part linked with substance abuse, Pharma psychotropic prescription drugs, etc.
⌠Thatâs why I said above what we most likely will see is progression of ERPOâs (âred flag lawsâ), where families and authorities can work together to temporarily take guns out of the possession of those deemed unstable, and for kidd of this age (18) it probably is highly relevant. Iâm sure there will be laws at state and local level (like California and Illinois) going after magazine capacity, and weâll see how these hold up as they get to SCOTUS.

I donât support something where benefits are inconclusive and there are massive loopholes and workarounds anyway, and no, you will find massive resistance to what is seen as incrementalism, for which you made clear earlier. People know that is the agenda, and they run a mile away from it, hence nothing happens.

Well I work the council during our meetings guns are becoming a big problem among 13-25yr olds on estates.
Hard to get yet children still shooting at each other for 1.5miles of a patch of ground
