Who said we should ban guns? Find me the posts please. People have talked about gun control. A ban might be an eventual outcome of that after a long process. No one thinks it’s the starting point. No one thinks the government should force guns from people’s hands.

Can you please, just once in your life, approach a discussion on here from the point of view of what has actually been said?

Here is a good research paper

It is fair to say solutions in here are short on supply. “Gun Control” is a phrase, but what are the specifics, and how would they have stopped these shootings. I emphasize the last part. If your prescribed solutions would not have made a difference to these incidents they are not addressing the problem, and even though you might think they help they won’t make it to any legislation that can be passed because the opposition will be too easy.

Pretty decent evidence out there that the Clinton ban on assault weapons was making an impact when it was let lapse. Let’s start there again eh? No?

Oh please that’s a euphemism for banning guns, by backs are banning guns, saying people don’t need guns says it all.

What’s an assault weapon??

That’s your opinion of what people are saying, not what people are saying.

That’s not opinion they very notion of question why people wants something or controlling access to it is guise to wanting people not to have it, you don’t to obfuscate around the idea with pretty language

What is an assault weapon?

This is a Washington Post article, not exactly far-right. Less clear cut in terms of impact than you seem to be saying. I don’t see any coordinated push for a restoration by Dem politicians as a collective, so one has to wonder. There are quotes that can selectively be picked out from the piece to say whether there was significant change or not, i.e. mixed.

Define the term assault weapon?

So you don’t think they should even try this? Never mind it’s likelihood to pass etc. Do you think the bill was a good idea? A start on a possible change in things? If it hadn’t been let lapse, if it had been built on and we were 20 years further down the line of (potentially) changing attitudes…come on, no science…just feelings, what do you reckon?

It’s defined in Mr Clinton’s bill. Go have a read of it of you like.

No that is someone else’s definition which used as euphemism for gun or rifle etc

just to be very simple any weapon that can be used to cause assault/harm to a person lol so basically anything deemed a weapon after the fact.

The bill most certainly did not target all weapons.

Do you speak English and can you engage your brain???

It’s so fucking laughable of you to say this. Like Jesus fucking Christ the complete lack of self awareness.

Lmao you sound like a middle school teacher yelling at a student. I know this is serious but that definitely brought me back to my younger years.

The fact you need bill Clinton to define what’s an assault weapon even more hilarious.

The term assault weapon has redefined to mean gun when actually it is actually any weapon.
