Who said we should ban guns? Find me the posts please. People have talked about gun control. A ban might be an eventual outcome of that after a long process. No one thinks it’s the starting point. No one thinks the government should force guns from people’s hands.
Can you please, just once in your life, approach a discussion on here from the point of view of what has actually been said?
It is fair to say solutions in here are short on supply. “Gun Control” is a phrase, but what are the specifics, and how would they have stopped these shootings. I emphasize the last part. If your prescribed solutions would not have made a difference to these incidents they are not addressing the problem, and even though you might think they help they won’t make it to any legislation that can be passed because the opposition will be too easy.
That’s not opinion they very notion of question why people wants something or controlling access to it is guise to wanting people not to have it, you don’t to obfuscate around the idea with pretty language
This is a Washington Post article, not exactly far-right. Less clear cut in terms of impact than you seem to be saying. I don’t see any coordinated push for a restoration by Dem politicians as a collective, so one has to wonder. There are quotes that can selectively be picked out from the piece to say whether there was significant change or not, i.e. mixed.
So you don’t think they should even try this? Never mind it’s likelihood to pass etc. Do you think the bill was a good idea? A start on a possible change in things? If it hadn’t been let lapse, if it had been built on and we were 20 years further down the line of (potentially) changing attitudes…come on, no science…just feelings, what do you reckon?
