The work experience Westwood offered didn’t take place. We asked the BBC whether any monitoring of any work experience scheme took place but they did not provide an answer to this question.

It’s a good question.

Several times over his presidency, Trump was sued for blocking people on his private (non-POTUS) Twitter account where he posted everything, including policy updates. It was deemed to be a violation of citizens 1st amendment rights to not be able to read and discuss his speech.

Doesn’t that then mean that people who have their Twitter accounts taken away, having broken no laws, also have their 1st amendment right to read and discuss speech from the POTUS account and other government accounts violated now post-Trump ? Whose rights should trump (pardon the pun) whose, the companies to decide who can use it or the private citizen’s right to read and reply to their elected representatives?

It would seem to many that the former should have the say as it’s their product and the citizen has other means of communicating opinions with their representatives, but that wasn’t good enough for the courts in the case of Trump vs Blocked. While others would say free speech overrides all.

“Defendants’ continued blocking of Individual Plaintiffs … violates their First Amendment rights,” the Friday lawsuit said. “It unconstitutionally restricts their rights to read or participate in the discussion occurring in the public forum of the @realDonaldTrump account.”

So many that went against the elite propaganda narrative were banned from twitter.

Especially in Scotland, and those that went against British propaganda. And those Pro-palestinian accounts.

Hopefully musk is serious about free speech on all sides and will facilitate an easy return for these.

But members of the Taliban are allowed accounts - 2 of them at least are on over 500k followers.

Who would have thought, an old Radio 1 DJ being investigated about sexual misconduct?
If anyone knows about dodgy Radio 1 DJ’s, it’s the BBC.
But if anyone knows how to cover up for dodgy Radio 1 DJ’s, it’s also the BBC and yet they’re part of the investigation.
What could possibly go wrong?

Instead of spending multi billions on something pointless how about improving and redeveloping the actual infrastructure worldwide and also the real world lifespan and capabilities of a car’s rechargeable battery.
I’ve done a hell of a lot of research lately as I’m in for a new car. Ive seen car forums spoken to dealers been in contact with a couple of car experts basically I’ve covered all areas. I was looking at a PHEV to start and hopefully further down the line a full EV.

So after all my investigations im going to wait until 2035 as I have no confidence that EV’s are economically viable…
A normal petrol/diesel car has to be driven approx 90k kms before it equals the pollutive output of the manufacture of a brand new EV.
I produce my own electricity to install a fast charger at home costs a fortune, the nearest charger is 30 minutes away.
An EV battery only has a 7 year warranty, to replace them you are looking at a bill of between 15 and 20k euros.

I have a small collection of classics, one of them being 70 years old.So until Elon Musk can come up with something that lasts this long he can fuck right off.

I know of plenty of people who actually own a Tesla and each one of them is unequivocally enthusiastic and satisfied with their Tesla car. EV infrastructure in The Netherlands is also really solid, so that might contribute to the high satisfaction rate.

Where I live in Portugal you still see horses and carts.
Your friends that own Tesla’s did they pay cash or are they leased?

Let’s hope Portugal invests more in their infrastructure. I was actually thinking about moving to Portugal in one or two years.

One I know paid in cash and has got a Tesla charge station at home and the others are leasing their Teslas. There were also some beneficial subsidies for purchasing or leasing a Tesla, but those ended a year ago or so.

If you drive around where I live, you will see a ridiculous amount of Teslas - mind you Amsterdam and the entire Randstad (which is the name for the combined of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht) is a very densely populated and industrious area.

The way I see it you are on safer ground leasing an EV,so if and when the battery fails you’re not taking the hit personally. I pay cash for my cars so I’m not comfortable until things improve.
Cities and the larger towns are fairly well equipped with chargers here, but if there’s going to be a big rise in EVs ,the infrastructure is gonna have to change very soon.
Bearing in mind in Portugal you’ll have to go to Lisboa or Porto to get your Tesla maintained.

I will be in Lisbon / Cintra and drive up to Porto in mid-May. It’s of course quite logical that EV infrastructure isn’t equal everywhere yet. But big steps are being taken in many places around the developed world.

Demand outpaces supply for Tesla EVs which says something and this is after gigafactories opened up in Shanghai and Berlin, which have capacity up to 1 million (Berling) and 3 million (Shanghai) per year.

I agree regarding leasing a Tesla.

He got fired because they were meant to be apolitical, and taking the knee was a political gesture.

They were meant to be anti-woke, and taking the knee really is a woke too far.

I’m not understanding all this craziness about Elon buying Twitter. Twitter has never been profitable and hasn’t been expanding for years now. He might turn it around and make it so let wait and see. In saying that I’ve seen all those complaining about it are those that told conservative types to create they own platform. seems like the shoe is on the other foot. As with all things the pendulum always have to swing back

Oh boy. Not looking good for Heard. Her own sister testified against her. Her mother is terrified of her. Ex-assistant of hers testified against her. Her lawyers are clowns.

One WaPo fake news article by Heard destroyed Depp’s career. Meanwhile Heard has been exposed for being an abusive piece of shit who gaslights people and smears their name with fake stories. Still was acting in movies and getting away with it.

@Joshua as a lawyer what chances do you think Depp has got to clear his name and win this civil lawsuit?

I don’t think the actual outcome matters to be honest. His name is basically clear as is with all that’s come out.
