Couldn’t get past the fact it was a western being filmed were the incident happened, and it’s the sheriff department doing the investigation.

fake news that actually works in her favor

It was a sarky point that was cut short. If the goal is to vilify Candace by clipping her show out of context then that is a net benefit for her and her followers.

A clip that maybe a couple of thousands of people at best would have seen is being amplified globally to a bigger audience of COVID-19 scepetics and likeminded folk.

American culture is rotten

What a disastrous end to Alex Baldwin’s career

Apparently there was one live round inside the gun.

Y tho?

That says there was none of their members on set yet they apparently know what was in the gun?

Variety is the spice of life, apparently.

Was going to say there has to be a live round in the gun. Blanks don’t really have a projectile and are basically just a casing (the lower part of the bullet)which contains gun powder or another propellant that gets ejected out of the extractor, so basically should just fall to side (all though you could possibly injure your eye or face if you mishandle). Not saying that a blank couldn’t kill you, because you can replace the bullet with other things but it’s unlikely.

What’s really strange is that a blank firing prop gun shouldn’t really be able to fire a live round anyway. Usually their modified and the barrel where a projectile or bullet would leave isn’t big enough to fire anything through. I’m confused as to why he would be pointing a gun at the camera lady and the director anyway? Rule number one is you never ever point a gun at anyone. Honestly there is a whole host of issues like what was it off safety? Why was it loaded and chambered? Why was the gun cocked and ready to fire? Why was he pointing it at the camera lady and the director? Also how are you able to just bring live ammunition on to a set?

Why wasn’t the equipment tested before actual use. Am I missing something?

Why was there live ammunition on the set in the first place?

Good post that Bizzy.

It’s like Shannon Lee said yesterday, no one should be dying on the set of a film.

@DavidHillier @Jules Yeah exactly, you don’t get single rounds they come in little boxes which means there would of been a box of 9mm or .22mm or whatever cartridge it was, which begs the question as to why this was on set in the first place?. But what’s really weird is that blank rounds look noticeably different to live ammunition, it’s basically just a casing where as the live one will have a tip, so why would someone place a live round in with the blanks? There’s no reason for something like this ever happen really.

And this although not your typical gun control type case further highlights why the US needs to eventually ban firearms. Really there should never be a scenario where anyone can so easily access live ammunition and just leave it on a set of a film. Really ridiculous

They should. But it’s the U.S. :man_shrugging:t4:

Where buying a gun is a-okay but a nipple on Instagram is censored. :man_dancing:t2:
