Gabriel Martinelli (11)

Boring.

Unfortunately you have little or any knowledge of the game or of The Arsenal

Martinelli was dangerous for most of the match…he was good on the left wing with the exception of the corners, but saying that all our corners and free kicks were poor. I wouldn’t say that Nelson done anything special when he came on today.

No idea why Martinelli and Saka kept taking the corners.
Our corners are pissed poor since pre season.

What do you mean! OA is very pro Gabby with the exception of Ash :arteta3:

I still don’t really see him and Havertz vibing yet. They seem on different wavelengths but I think there’s a decent comparison with Martinelli wide and Havertz making late runs into the box to what Havertz played at Loserkusen.

Ash is very pro Martinelli
He isn’t as deadly with a two yard toe poke as I was in my day .

Probably because Martinelli plays against actual professional footballers instead of a bunch of bricklayers and the local milkman.

Well that’s true , so on your theory Martinelli should be George Best Pele Messi
Of which he ain’t !

Is there anything wrong with people making that choice as a career path ?

I tuned into the last 10-15 of the game. Martinelli made an immediate impact.
Very happy for him.

Tackled for a throw
Slightly overhit cross
Blocked cross
Dangerous pass back to the defence

Cameo :fire:

Hope the injury wasn’t anything serious. I thought the drop off in quality to Trossard was quite clear today and was a factor in why this ended up being so laboured.

Any word on the injury that forced him off?

Hope he’s okay. No other player provides the x factor this lad brings into the team. Hope he’ll be fine for the spurs game.

It didn’t look serious but you just never know, praying it’s tightness or worst case just a 3 week injury.

Might just have been lots of caution at the start of our first proper run of playing 3 games a week

Hopefully, we rest him in midweek and it is nothing serious.
