Gabriel Magalhães (6)

expecting a 3 month injury. Anything less would be a positive surprise for me.

Bet it’s 2 weeks or less.

I’m surprised we haven’t heard anything about his injury yet.

You’d have expected some sort of update by now, at least to know of it’s a serious injury or not, similar to how we got an update on Calafiori.

I’m preparing myself for inevitable doomsday tweet from Ornstein.

“Gabriel had successfull groin surgery today, he’s expected to be out for four months and is targeting a return in time for Brazils friendly vs Japan in March”

A long term injury would definitely move the needle in terms of whether we win the title or not.

Not good news, not awful news.

Big opportunity for someone to step up like Kiwior did last season in Gabriel’s absence.

Good thing is, we have strength in depth. We can even shift Calafiori LCB and then put Hincapie at LB.

Getting tired of putting our depth to the test.

2 months according to The Athletic. If so, I really doubt we’ll win the title this season.

This is why I refused to get my hopes up.

Playing online doctor here but I reckon it’ll be closer to 7 weeks.

See you in 2026 Big Gabs :waving_hand:

Definitely:

Spurs (H)

Bayern (H)

Chelsea (A)

Brentford (H)

Villa (A)

Brugge (A)

Wolves (H)

Everton (A)

Palace (H) (Cup)

Brighton (H)

And maybe:

Villa (H)

Bournemouth (A)

Liverpool (H)

Forest (A)

I was a bit optimistic until you posted that. Didn’t realise how many games we’re playing in the next 2 months…

Feeling very pessimistic right now. Our best player by a mile this season. Out for two months.

Fuck our injuries man. So tired.

Ridiculous season again, injury-wise

Cursed once again. I’m sure the ugly ogre fuck and his sky blue shitbags will have a nice run of full fitness.

All a ruse for him to score the winner on the weekend.

Ohh, ffs was hoping it’s not that bad.

I can understand it for some players (wingers etc, guys who do sprints and dribbles etc), but how is our CB getting another muscle injury again?? He had one at the end of the last season.

At least, when I go back to that injury, Kiwi did a great job covering for him and we really didn’t miss him as much as expected. I’m sure Mosquera (along with Hincapie if needed) can do the same at least.

Even if he was our best player so far, if there’s one area we really have great width and options it’s the defence and we should cope well if don’t get further big injuries.

We are more likely to miss his impact up front.

I’m more frustrated and worried with us facing ANOTHER injury and the sheere amount of injuries we had, not so much about missing Gabriel spefically.
