Its a great signing. I question Jesus a bit because he’s tripling his salary to come here and play EL football. However with a guy like this leading the line there really is no excuse not to be top 4 come end of next season. Should be playing about 2500 minutes and have north of 15 goals at a minimum hopefully more.

I have reservations that they pull all of these moves off, but if they do yeah the team is absolutely stacked. Would be a monumentally bad coaching job to not have scored a ton of goals and have a decent points tally a year from now. Should be in contention for a trophy or two as well.
I’m starting to worry that Partey/Xhaka gonna be the base of the team again tho.

Kinda. I’ve been strong on the point that CL football isn’t as much of a deal breaker as some think in terms of transfers. Sure, you ain’t landing Mbappe, Messi, Ronaldo and Haaland without it but we’re talking about a certain pool of players that is incredibly tough land even if you have CL football.
For the rest of the players, if you offer a good financial package and sell the project, you can pretty much land them all.

Regarding EL, I use CL and City as an example. We make fun of them for spending money and not winning it. We aren’t any different.
Teams like Frankfurt and Villarreal have won the competition recently.
More often than not the 2-3 English sides in the tourney have the most expensive squads in that competition, usually they’re our main rivals.
Comparing to the PL, FA and League cups where we have City and Liverpool in the mix, this is the competition we don’t, and that should automatically improve our chances.
I don’t buy it, there’s huge difference. The level of competition between City and teams in the latter stages of the CL is much different to Arsenal and teams in the latter stages of the EL.
Outside of CL dropouts, we should be beating any euro trash over two legs with away goals scraped
