But xG philosophy says he doesn’t score enough…

How many kidneys are we gonna need to sell to afford him
Modern Jesus usually trends right but I think historically Jesus would have been more a left wing guy.
Can play across the entire front 3
Mofo has in the duration of 1 match changed the thought process from “why would we want him?” to “why would he want to join us?”
Helped Inter win the treble, Bayern win the treble, so you’re saying it’s on for 22-23 if we sign Jesus?
Even yesterday the reality and the truth of the matter was somewhere in between these lines of thought. Arsenal would be an excellent move for him if City are moving on. It might be even better for his career on a personal level than staying at City. And of course, he’d be an excellent addition to our weak firing Arsenal
Surely some non-english big clubs like Juve or Milan clubs or Barcelona are also gonna be interested in him? We’ll need CL football at least, even with Arteta link.
Just imagine we had him here all the season in stead of Lacazette…
Easy top 3 finish.
Darwin better. This is not me turning my nose up at the prospect of signing Gabriel Jesus. I’d just prefer a better striker.
Maybe I am turning my nose up at the prospect of signing Gabriel Jesus lol
I think we need both to genuinely push forward.
Darwin is probably one of the best young strikers in world this season though, given his goal scoring form in league and CL. Definitely love having to choose between these 2 then between DCL and Watkins haha.
But we need one more than the other. We know Arsenal…they aren’t going to sign both. That would be too ambitious. One must remember this is a process.
Nunez got a release clause, right? I would love him at Arsenal, but Gabriel Jesus is a baller and cheaper I’d say.
Just googled it, his release clause is 150 million euros fucking hell. If we could get him for around 80 mill though then I would much rather get Darwin then Osimhen.
He’s in the final year of his contract and City will want some money for him. We won’t be spending that much on him at all. Maybe about £40-£50m?
I think this is the only logical conclusion to draw
He’s got more goals in this game than in the twenty or so games he’s played in this season.
So does this out of the ordinary performance make him a top level striker or does it show he’s inconsistent?
A performance like this makes him look better than he is because he’s playing at home, with the best players in Europe against one of the worst defences in the PL?
I’ve no doubt, at the right price, he’ll be better than what we have but not as our marquee signing.
Joelinton has just scored twice away for Newcastle, perhaps we should buy him as well.
well what is 5 years of mediocrity when put against one good game vs relegation fodder with a pinch of desperation and recency bias sprinkled on top?
