Gabriel Jesus (9)

He certainly must be looking good in training to make the bench. Interesting to see if he gets any game time in the upcoming weeks and how he figures out into our plans.

I honestly thought he already played his last game for Arsenal.

He really is in a ā€œnothing to lose, everything to gainā€ scenario. Anything he can give us is essentially a bonus.

Looking at Brazil’s options in his positions at the World Cup, if he can come back and perform he’s got a chance of getting in that squad too.

Probably still our best option for breaking through a low block. Him, Eze and Trossard are moments players.

My guess is that when other players return he might struggle to make matchday squads. He’s still only 11 months from the surgery and Arteta will surely be very cautious in how he reintegrates him.

Club Bruges away feels like a good opportunity to put him out there for 10-15 minutes.

I believe he isn’t in the CL squad.

If Jesus can stay on side! He is such a technically gifted player, but my god, he can be frustrating to watch! It would be a fitting end to his Arsenal career if he can help us win the League this season.

A Jesus winner off the bench at the Etihad -poetic.

I wasn’t aware you could do that while the league phase was underway. Spurs have also done the same with Tel.

Probably means he may get his first minutes back soon, if not in this match.

How many games with Jesus play before getting injured again I wonder…

That’s the spirit.

Loved watching him play today. Definitely doesn’t look sharp but that was a good cameo and he really could have had a goal.

Thought it was very good for a first game back from an ACL. Finishing was off the pace but otherwise he looks a great option.

We’ve always known the issue with Jesus but in terms of all round game when he’s on it it’s pure cinema on the football pitch

Lovely to see him get some good minutes and show shades of his old self.

Just a glimpse of what we’ve missed for basically two years now.

Not to get carried away but very promising performance. Would like to see him in the PL as well though.

Jesus climbing back up the CF pecking order…

Step aside Vik.

Came on and played like he’s never been away. Pristine, feather lite touches of the football, and missing chances that a player of his quality should really be putting away.

Good to have you back Gabi :waving_hand:

Please can he also have a redemption arc :folded_hands:
