Hes not going anywhere this season and its ridiculous to do anything but support him until then and hope he can make even a handful of valuable contributions.

Would like him to start a run of games on the wing tbh.
First one he should’ve buried, absolutely no doubt that was poor. Second one wasn’t so bad.
Great assist, need to keep giving him minutes to improve.

Reminds me of the dreadful finish Vs Spurs last year (or was that the season prior)
Definitely his best performance so far this season. Looked really active and on another he’s probably walking away with a brace on top of the assist.
I wasn’t keen on it before the game but it was a good call from Mikel to start him. He probably needed that show of trust.
A good kick up the arse for Havertz as well. I feel a bit more comfortable now rotating between the two in the upcoming hectic weeks.

I think that’s a very low bar to judge him by. Those misses were unforgiveable IMO.

Don’t agree with everything you said but we need posts like this just for the positivity it brings 
I thought those misses were criminal. He should have a good hard look at himself cause you can’t miss those chances at this level. But then, at least he made the runs that created those chances. And his touches right upto the final strike were reasonably sharp so that’s good.
But we need a heck of a lot more from a player in his position. Don’t think Jesus is the answer, for once

I think so too. Whenever I feel like I hear Mikel chat about him he’s still so high on him, only feels fair that he’s backed by his words to give him a proper run to deliver that.
He’s not a bad attacking player but Jesus is missing far too many chances and if he was performing like that for another club, would we really be remotely interested in him?
Both him and Martinelli are good squad players but not good enough to be starting games if we want to win the title.

He’s finished at this level, doubt we’d get more than £30m for him - let’s use the funds to get a proper player in.

Honestly, the finishing isn’t the main issue, it’s the fact he just looks like he isn’t the same physically. He was never that guy when it came to converting chances but he partly made up for it with his all-action style of play.

yeah he is not longer the hound he was when he first started here.
Defenders used to hate playing against him as he was just relentless with immense workrate.
I recall Jesus even saying publicly that he’s not really a goal scorer or something to that effect.
