No, it wasn’t, lol.
If ee go two nil up, Spurs break. Blasting over from there is unacceptable.
The momentum of the game did seem to swing after his miss.
If Jesus scores that, we likely win 3-2.
Though it’s still wild that our team needs to score 3+ goals a game to comfortably win a game of football at home.
I wonder what the on-target shots to goals conceded conversion rate now is after that game.
Don’t think having Raya, reduced it by much either.
There’s enough evidence that he’s not a very good finisher and will miss the majority of the big opportunities that come his way. Great player but he’s not a killer in front of goal and likely never will be.

You can create a similar video from all the sitters Haaland, Salah, Kane, Lewa and others miss.
Haaland skied one of the easiest tap-ins against Forest on Saturday to kill the game.
All strikers miss chances. Jesus just happens to be the worst finisher of the lot you mentioned. He’s never broken 15 league goals while the others are hitting +20 goals a season. It’s why Jesus finishing will continue to be scrutinised and criticised.
He used to start 20-25 league games max every season for City and he wasn’t always playing centrally. His numbers p90 are still among the best in PL history.
I don’t think he’s a great finisher either, but someone like Salah isn’t a great finisher either yet his numbers have been insane as a focal point at Liverpool.
Jesus was our best player going forward against Spurs. As soon as he went off the game was pretty much done.
Jesus is the inverse of Eddie and I think it’s why they don’t work on the pitch together.
Jesus = great first touch, horrendous shooting
Eddie = not great first touch, good/very good shooting
Someone should really make a comp of all the Haaland’s missed sitters in the last season.
Would make him look like peak Bendtner.
bollocks is he…he is trash
Also has Eddie scored a goal outside the 6-yard box for Arsenal yet?
His impressive numbers p90 is very much influenced by the fact he gets subbed on and off. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer often appears on these lists for that very reason. Edin Dzeko was okay at Man City but has excellent goals per 90 stats because he’d often appear off the bench.
I understand the comparison but there’s a difference. Salah is a slightly above-average finisher while Jesus is a below average finisher.
Jesus is a top player. His finishing is a flaw in his game.
Do you think Jesus would have hot 20 plus last season if not for injury?
Eddie finishing being good is a myth, his XG numbers are actually substantially higher than his actual goals.
Yeah. His finishing isn’t anything special. I thought myself he was a very good finisher earlier, but when he got a run last season or this one, you could see he not that clinical and is quite inconsitent in front of the goal.
Now I would definitely never say his finishing is any beter than Jesus’.
No chance. 20 goals without taking penalties is a place reserved for the elite goalscorers of this game. Likely would have gotten 15/16 league goals if he hadn’t gotten injured. 18 goals would be his ceiling.
Na
not a designated PK taker, not a designated FK taker…
20 goals is pretty harsh.
15 goals is the target for a player of Jesus’s caliber.
If only he could fucking finish, he’d be in the world class conversation. Alvarez would cook in this team.
Jesus brings a lot to the team, but I think he’s got 12 months left before we start looking at a permanent improvement.
Why are there so few great strikers these days?
