I presume with Freddie in charge we won’t be looking to buy in January. A window sacrificed.
Going to be interesting now for Cabellos having an interim manager to see if we stick or twist on him as a signing.
We love you Freddie cos you had red hair
We love you Freddie now you got no hair
We love you Freddie cos your Arsenal through and through
Not very original I know!
It was one of the best chants for a player we ever had. Couldn’t hear any other fans use it for any other player.
Be great to hear this in the stands again
That scenario
In all seriousness, Ole being shit has no relation to whether Freddie is shit or not. It’s just as likely that Freddie actually gets better at the job ínstese of being found out as out of his depth. It’s also just as likely that Freddie turns out to be out of his depth. But Ole has no predictive value as far as Freddie, they are totally separate cases.
Seems like a quite a charismatic character and with his legend status I can see him getting the players behind him.
Seems like he’s got a solid head on his shoulders and he’s saying the right things.
Really, really hope he does well.
But that’s a lot of turds he has to polish in our defence. Hope he’s brought his Mr Sheen.
I made this mistake once
One thing we should not do is listen to Petit, guys a fucking douche.
I love Paddy but please not as our manager.
I like how barely anybody is referring to him by his surname. Almost exclusively referred to as Freddie by everybody on this board and the folks I follow on twatter.
It’s a small thing but also an insight into how affectionately people remember his playing days, and how much people want him to succeed.
Hopefully he brings some feel good factor back to this squad, and some fucking confidence to go along with it.
Get a proper shortlist together, not a Santa list whilst letting Freddy get the team happy again
Freddie would have to turn things around dramatically if he is to be considered as a permanent replacement. I am talking winning away more often, winning at home consistently and beating the big 4 rivals. As much as I love Freddie, don’t see him doing all that.
Whatever happens, I just hope Freddie makes us exciting to watch again. I think he will.
Tough December/Jan coming up.
If he manages to get plenty of points through that period, the board may consider him.
If they do, they should just announce that he’s been given the job until the end of the season and then do a further review at that point.
We cant be giving him the job after even an extended run of good results in the first few months, it just isn’t enough to judge someone on. I don’t think they will appoint him permanently even if he does really well though, I think they’ll be very reluctant to take that gamble.
I noticed that some people call him Lumberg (for example listening to Pornstein talking to some girl) As he is actually our manager now, it’s Yungberg for you guys (L = silent, j = your y) so rather yell Yungberg at him at the Emirates, so that he knows you’re thinking nice things about him and not about someone else. Made this pocket “mnemonic” with pictures if anyone needs one for the first few days:

(L = silent, j = your y)
Didn’t know the “L” was silent. Always thought it was pronounced Lyungberg with the L and Y pronounced together.
Hello Xhaka, what’s happening. I’m gonna need you to go ahead and come in tomorrow. So if you could be here at around…9, that’d be great"

Yungberg
I’m twenty years doing it the wrong way. It’s too late for me but by all means please pass this knowledge along to some children.
Whatever happens Freddie, I’ll always love you for that scoring run you went on as we won our last 13 league games in 2002 that resulted in us winning the double .

beating the big 4 rivals
I’ve given up on that dream, no manager will ever be able to achieve that for us.
