Are we going to be in this stupid tournament? It’s extended this year isn’t it?
It’s next year in June-July (32 Team tournament thrown there, wtf). They binned it being in December and it’ll be every four years.
We’re not, Chelsea and Man City are the English participants (It says based on them winning the CL? Idk making it up I guess).
These are the kind of tournaments that simply don’t need to exist.
The Nations League and the club World Cup absolutely have to be removed from the footballing calendar.
That’s what causes fixture congestion not regular 50 game seasons.

If it wasn’t for the fact we’d had the Qatar world cup I wouldn’t be as much against a Saudi world cup.
Saudi is at least a country with the infrastructure (or capability to have the infrastructure) for a World Cup. There has been only one World Cup in that part of the world, and they care about football (see the reaction to the win over Argentina). The world cup should be held in different cultures.
It’s just we only just had the so obviously bought Qatar world cup and it left exactly as bad a taste as expected that makes me feel negatively about another obvious piece of corruption in the bidding process.
Just heard on talksport that the 2030 World Cup is in 5 countries
Portugal Spain and Morocco the main hosts with games also in Paraguay and Uruguay
Having at least a game in Uruguay on the centenary of the first World Cup is pretty good.
I don’t know how Morocco is infrastructure-wise but a full tournament there would be pretty cool.
Of all the places it could be held, they’ve chosen $audi after just having the WC in Qa£ar.
What is it about these midd£e €a$t countries that FIFA find so attractive?
