I’m confused as to what his problem is? You’re an elite club competing in all of these competitions why are you complaining about the fixture pile up?
You were in the Club World Cup because you won the CL, you’re in the FA Cup and League Cup as a consequence of you winning opening round fixtures and then continuing to win those fixtures. You’re in the PL because the 38 games you play form your domestic season. And you’re in the CL because you qualified for it in the previous season and you’ve won enough games to progress through your group and onto the knockout fixtures.

It’s also pretty disrespectful to most people who have to work through the winter without a holiday at all.
He could have kept his mouth shut, put out a reserve team against Shrewsbury in the replay and no one would have cared.
There’s nothing worse than a footballer, pop star or film star telling everyone else how hard they have it and how hard they work.
Perhaps they should be reminded that it’s the real workers, who haven’t got such an entitled and pampered lifestyle, that pay their wages.
