Euro 2020

To get into the stadiums is like getting into fort knox lol.

Probably the safest place in the country to watch the matches. Stop the doom mongering ffs

We are a lot nearer than we were mate. Donā€™t want a put us further back for a short term gain now.
For instance Preston is tenth highest infections in this country. They have two fan parks open for England games 4000 fans each.
No testing just a temperature check. Stupid own goals like this will keep pushing us back.
If we had no tournament this year we would be in a much stronger position for the start of next season.

Being a bit reluctant, or cautious, does not equate to doom mongering, just because youā€™ve had enough of it doesnā€™t mean people are unreasonable to express their thoughts.

Also, your home is probably the safest place in the country to watch the matches :stuck_out_tongue:

Bet the Gov are worried about lifting it before the Euros are over. If England make the knockouts, which they should, pubs and such could be absolutely rammed if thereā€™s no restrictions.

It still goes back to the Delta variant, though. There are promising signs that the strain is sensitive to the vaccine, but I donā€™t think we can say that 100%.

If we have a third wave (as is happening in other countries), weā€™re going to look back on this tournament with a much harsher view than we did Liverpool v Atletico from March last year.

Thatā€™s a really good point. England at an international tournament probably causes the biggest surges of people going to pub / bars.

Itā€™s not the attendance at matches that is the issue. Itā€™s people watching the game in big venues or crammed into pubs that will do the damage. This shit happens en masse in every village, town and city in the country.

Weā€™re at the point where lots of people are getting vaccinated and the fatalities are quite low, but delaying by a couple of weeks to avoid a huge spike in cases is a rational thing to do.

This removal of all rules was never stated to happen here anyway so it doesnā€™t concern me lol.

Was just saying specifically about the empty stadiums coming back as you have to provide proof you are negative to get in the thing. There is no need to do that again and the stadium is half empty still.

Donā€™t fancy Wales today or the chances of getting out this group.
Took the swiss on a 2 0 bet.

Looking forward seeing wonderkid Embolo

hopefully switzerland can advance with us, iā€™ve seen stories of swiss out partying with italians who live in switzerland last night, after we won.

Massively rooting for Wales here.

Hope the Swiss get rocked.

is that because fuck xhaka :joy:

Iā€™ve gone 1-0 to Switzerland here. Iā€™ve got Wales finishing rock bottom with 0 points and 0 goals  maybe Iā€™ve been a tad harsh on them.

Partially because Fuck Xhaka but also because I lived there for 4 years and really did not enjoy it haha
