Why is this kid not in the Arsenal squad? Isn’t he around the age that Fabregas was when he broke into our first 11?
This kid could be our Bellingham no?

Bellingham was playing in the championship at this age and Fabregas was a genuine freak of a young player.
but somehow nketiah keeps his place…the only time in forever i have seen nketiah score like that was a couple of weeks ago.
Completely agree. Players like Cesc and Bellingham are the exception, not the rule.
A delightful left foot
Maybe in 2-3 years he’ll solve our no 8 woes.
New to the platform. Not sure if I am sold on Arteta and was hoping the young guys got a run on Wednesday against Lens. Whats the opinion on he bringing through talent. He seems a little controlling and unable to take some risks and foster the youth.
You’ll fit right in.
Welcome to the forum
We have a very young team generally, with lots of faith placed in Martinelli, Saka and Saliba in particular to be key components at a young age. They’re doing pretty well and so is the team generally. I’m not sure there’s much of an issue here with Arteta’s handling of young players.
Ok. Don’t you think it would have been good to bring them on 5-0 up?
Plenty of chances…
How about next week?
It might have been nice but I’m really not fussed in all honesty
He’ll surely feature out in PSV, even if it’s a sub appearance
It’s always going to be hard to bring youngsters through into a team that is competing at the top of the league and in the immediate period we need minutes in the legs of squad players. Those young players are not going to get much of a look in when a team is at the top of the table and playing in the champions league. Loans are a more likely opportunity.
Bet Nwaneri would’ve done wonderfully in that #8 spot where Trossard was fumbling about.
Is it too early to say that?
Maybe, he just seems immense everytime i’ve watched him play.
Hope we can have another star from our youth team… That saves a lot of money
Like was already mentioned, he may well get an opportunity vs PSV. I believe he had only just returned from halfway across the world having competed in the U17 tournament.
Regardless, there are some optics to be considered: the obvious experience of being pitch-side sub for the big show, but the likes of ESR and Vieira may well be looking at themselves thinking, I’ve gotta not be injured/suspended and need to take any chance I get. Hopefully it might give them a kick up the ass to push harder lest they find themselves eclipsed in the near future.
I believe the issue was the message it would’ve sent.
Arteta has talked about how players on the bench are fighting for minutes and have been great professionals.
Even someone like Trossard didn’t get any minutes against Lens.
We’ll probably rotate in the final match so I think that’s where you might see them get some playing time.
