Makes you wonder what the issue was. Did Dean Smith just not like him?
Dean Smith completely lost it at Villa since last year when Grealish got injured. Wasnāt working offensively or defensively. Kept changing the side around, couldnāt decide on a system.
Buendia himself was a bit responsible for missing some time early on due to the Argentina incident but he did find his feet eventually, even when Dean was in charge.
Buendia is very unlucky not to be on double digits with his assists. Villa still struggle with their end product.

He doesnāt lose the ball as much as you make it out tbf. Heās a guy who always looks to progress the ball which has risks but Pep loves those guys. He kind of made it a thing with his defenders and goalie.

What motive do West Ham have to sell Bowen for less than the Grealish fee? Not saying heās a 100m player, but they can ask for it.
