Well he adhered to it, then he tried to backtrack and get out of the deal, realising he blabbed his mouth too quick. I said this before, didn’t I?
Point is, he didn’t buy it with the intent to buy it. Kinda proving my point since he wanted a way out of his commitment? 
So wait, which one is it? He bought it to honour a poll, or he didn’t want to buy it, tried backing out after the poll, and only eventually bought it because he was about to be forced to?
I don’t see how the two positions are compatible, it’s surely one or the other?
From my perspective and looking at the facts we have and my interpretation of them is that everything points towards Musk not intending on buying twitter. The trying to backing out from buying it, further proves the point.
Furthermore, he polls, he adheres to it, he made some concrete steps to trying to buy it, which then put him into the mess and he then he realises he made a mistake (overpaying for it) and tries to back-out. The further point is: if the poll at the time was a No result, he wouldn’t have bought it. Meaning: it was not his intent to buy.
At the end of the day Jakey, whether he intended to buy it or not to buy it, is not a clear cut case from either side looking at it. I firmly believe it was not his intent, and so my answer is pretty straight forward to Trion’s question. It’s not a cop out. This is what I believe and I think it has pretty decent arguments for it.
You can be of the opinion his intent was always to buy it. I just think the events which happened following the blabbing of his mouth showed otherwise.
If he didn’t want to buy it he shouldn’t have made a legally binding offer to do so

I’m not of that opinion, as my second to last post makes clear, I think he bought it because he was about to be forced to via a massive fuck off lawsuit lol. And definitely not because he’s a man who honours polls
I believe Elon Musk tried to make quick bucks by elevating value & selling Twitter stocks, just like he did with Bitcoin.
Then got carried away, and ended up with a huge turd of a project.
So what was his intent?

I just found it strange you guys a quick to jump on any negative news about Elon musk but quiet about, how Twitter was colluding with the government and intelligence agencies to censor people they don’t like, censor narratives they don’t want, and block stories about hunter biden.
