Edu Gaspar

Of course it is. Wood is sustainable. But I have it on good authority that you could grow concrete.

Think that Edu will certify himself as an Arsenal legend more for his off-pitch activities if we win something big, rather than his performances when he was a player here

He’s doing the Steve Jobs billionaire bullshit efficiency thing of having a wardrobe of the same shirt and pants combo.

Except for the player, everything else about those pics is more or less the same. Mikel with the same outfit, Edu and Mikel with the same pose, Edu on the players left, Mikel on the right, one hand on the players shoulders and the other on the table. Might as well photoshop the player in these.

I think the truth is that Edu and Arteta have signed image rights deals with KSE that allow KSE to use their likeness in perpetuity. We’ll have AI Edu and Mikel unveiling Gorlax XVII as our new signing in 2340.

Just watched that ‘first day at Arsenal’ video of Havartz. It occurred to me before, with the Timber and Rice video’s and the video’s of last season as well, but that personal touch that comes through with those videos from Edu and Arteta looks so good. Even to me as a viewer it is obvious they really care about the player, their family, their wellbeing, everything.

Did it with Jesus too. He knows that details matter. Players and people in general appreciate that.

Edu you seem a nice guy you’ve made some good signings which are working out well, but I put that down to Mikel Arteta cos that’s his job to make them play well together.
But where you should be excelling in your job is getting rid of the trash for a half decent fee at least, brush up on your convincing skills like I see other teams doing please because what you’re doing at the moment is shite.

Edu sucks at selling. He has got himself a reputation that will make multiple windows to revert.
Negotiating a measly price for Holding and even that included add-ons.

No one can convince me that Holding is only worth 1m plus add-ons.

Can you remember a time when this club was good at selling players, and getting value?

Yeah but I was told it was because of Wenger so I am puzzled now.

Edu Sales - They guy has completely replaced a failing team, does that not count for anything? How much money did everyone expect us to get from selling players who took us down to 8th two seasons running?

Wenger sales - We know he was running the whole playing side of the club after David Dein left. We let some top quality players go far too cheaply and bought a lot of bang average players who were worth very little.

There’s certainly evidence that we don’t get very large fees for outgoing players but sweeping statements like “We’re shit at selling players” ignore the nuances of each case and ignore a few that went for a good price (I’m putting Iwobi, Balogun and Willock in that bracket). Edu isn’t perfect, none of us are.

The thing is, selling at poor value etc has been happening way before Edu arrived. The fact Flo will be our record sale is absolutely shocking, more shocking because he was sold for a low fee as well lol. This is really bad for a club of Arsenal’s calibre and it seriously needs to be looked into.

One thing Edu has changed/improved though is timely renewal of contracts of key players and academy players.

I read something somewhere some team bought a 14year old for more than Rob Holding and Trevor Francis who died recently cost more in 1979 than Rob Holding did.
I expect Accrington Stanley to be paying these sort of fees not Crystal fucking Palace, whatever people may think about Rob Holding he’s not worth giving away for a pittance in footballing terms.
No point in praising Edu for who he’s bought when he can’t sell his way out of a wet paper bag
