tbf, maybe the £75m bid had more upfront than the £80m did.
The total value never improved though
But thats not the problem for West Ham
They are wanting more up front and to be paid quicker.
The total is the same, correct, its the detail of the bid and how it will be paid which is the stumbling block
Didn’t they ask for 100m MINIMUM since beginning?
And we are working around the upfront and installments while the total is not improved?
The first rumours(early 2023) suggested something around 70-90m should do it.
That changed recently, probably after the cunts ended up surviving relegation and won the Conference League.
It shouldn’t be downplayed that these guys not only ask for 100m now, they also want a good chunk of it up front.
Because West Ham have publicly said they want more up front and for it to be paid of over a shorter period of time I believe
Ok, we will see
West Ham’s demands won’t be attractive to City either who, thanks to their piss-poor fan base, aren’t operating at a huge profit right now, they can’t afford new FFP charges either.
This is just Sullivan being Sullivan and trying to make it a bidding war.
I’m sure the “accounting” team can make the #s works for FFP. What’s another charge on top of the 115 at this point?
Fair point.
If Rice goes to City for less than £100m, then what was that “minimum” besides posturing?
I interpret that as:
1/ our upfront is not attractive enough
2/ our negotiating skills sucks
3/WH is a cunt club
4/ Rice is another Mudryk
I would call him a bum but uh, why is this thread bumped? Who wants to fill me in.
I mean, it’s quite obvious. People are mad at him for potentially losing Rice.
I haven’t read the thread, twitter transfer rumour mill is insufferable. okay.
Well the selling team will always want more up front and the buying team will always want less up front. If West Ham want 75m up front and we offered them 40m, is that Edu’s fault or is it just a seller trying to extract as much as possible from the buyer?
No mate negotiation is not an option for edu he must bid 100m up front or walk away.
If someone asking for 70 and you return with 40.
There is no negotiating skills at all
I call this trying your luck.
Even before all started, there must be some communications in between and you know what is negotiable and what is non negotiable.
The way we bidded, looks like we are just throwing stones into water to test it out, or simply try our luck and see if WH is dumb enough.
I’ll smack this piece of shit in front of his wife and kids.
This knob couldn’t give away I’ve cool slushies in the Gobi Desert. Bum negotiator.
What about Dicky Garlic?
