Yeah. If Grealish has done it for City, and he did it BRILLIANTLY in that treble season, I don’t see why Eze can’t do it for us.
We just desperately need SOLUTIONS on that side of the pitch. All we have now are runners like Rice and Martinelli.

I don’t think it’s a coincedence Martinelli had his best season with Xhaka behind him either. No matter what we think of him at least he was (slightly) creative unlike Rice and Merino.
Fair play. Do you think that it’s either Rodrygo or Eze? It looks like it’s being reported that Arsenal favour a LW (Rodrygo/Madueke) and that Eze is additional to either of the two.
I get what your saying and I think he can certainly play that LW role to a tee. It allows Trossard to move on too, so I would imagine some money in from that aspect.
I don’t think Rodrygo is going to leave Real and if he does I don’t think he will come here. I think Eze is going to start for Martinelli and Madueke we’re looking for too replace Trossard with. He’s 30 with one year left I think behind close doors they know he’s going. Just like we did with Zubimendi and Norgaard.

I think there’s a decent chance atm looking the way things stand at Madrid and looking at their squad. They might be open to selling him for the right price, with all the new young players they have in those positions (no one as proven as Rodrygo though).
He might well be open for a move too. Won everything there, he maybe wants a new challenge at a club where he’ll maybe get a chance to show even more of his ability (playing in his prefered position).
All that said, I would be very happy with either him or Eze. I can’t even imagine us getting both, as many speculate btw. That’s pure fantasy imo.
When the season actually starts I expect Alonso to rotate between Vinicius, Rodrygo and Mbappe and Gonzalo Garcia to get a lesser role.
Thinking getting both is the same as assuming we were going to keep van Persie at the time and we had signed Giroud as his back up

I think the only way we’ll get Eze and Rodrygo is if Martinelli leaves because buying both will be more than 120m and we’ve already spent around 150m, so more likely it will be just Eze , which is still a great window.

We could easily spend double that without blinking. Arsenal are WELL within the PSR rules and we had a £600m the season before without spending heavily and this season we went further into the CL so i would say we are close to £700m this season in revenue.

It’s true that we’ve had a net spend of very little since signing Rice and we’ve done well in the PL and CL, so made a good profit.
So considering we’ve still only signed Gyokeres and how desperate we are for quality upfront, we really need at least another starting attacking player, preferably Eze, Rodrygo or Gordon.
I’m still not sure we’ll get both Rodrygo and Eze unless Martinelli goes but would be great if we did.

If so why would you want to get rid of Martinelli and spend a load of money on an even worse player who scored less goals than Martinelli did in a shit last season?

Rather just sign a better actual left winger and a creative CM. If we get Eze it will be to cover both spots imo.
It’s true he wasn’t great last season for Newcastle and he’s still fairly young and has been one of their best players, although I wouldn’t pick him over Rodrygo or Eze.
If we could pick him up cheap, he’s good enough to at least challenge for a first team place but there were rumours about Liverpool being interested, which would push the price up.
