Eberechi Eze (10)

Brother Eberechi, something like that would be fantastic.

All that space between the CB’s not being exploited breaks my heart

We need Declan to go a single pivot again and run dual-8’s again - Eze/a player.

Yes, I’ve been begging to see this

Odegaard would produce the same performance and be killed for it.

I remember two actions from Eze all game. The dummy to leave the ball to Gyokeres that led to Martinelli’s chance, and throwing himself on the floor instead of picking up the man that scored their goal.

Should have hooked him earlier yesterday instead of Gyokeres or moved him to the left and hook Martinelli.

It was not anything special but Eze seemed far more involved yesterday compared to his average. Seemed to be finding pockets of space.

Yeah, tbh not sure what there is to praise about that performance. Was unusually coservative and safe on the ball imo. Usually he’s much more attacking minded with his first touch especially where he tries to gain advantage right away. But here you see him just going back and back all the time. And even when he gets some space for a pass he was either safe or just bad.

Just tells you that the tactics are the culprit when players as good as Odegaard & Eze struggle to make an impact

Promising performance today.

Thought he was one of our best for most of the game. Looked like he was trying to get more involved than usual.

Very solid today

Got a bit leggy towards the end but he I agree he was our best player today.

He tries things and not shot shy. He’s coming to the fore at the right time.

This the legendary “Eze in spring”?

he was the best out of our shit attack before Dowman came on

He kept trying and I have a lot of time for that.

Nice pass for Havertz pen and was lively shooting.

Better indeed! One of our better ‘ball-strikers’ in the team and letting rip a few times is exactly what he needs to be doing more of.

Completely overshadowed by Max in the end and rightly so, but the first time I have been impressed with him outside a spurs match.

Been charging his battery pack all season for the March-May run.
