I don’t actually think another PL goal comes close. To think people were saying Benzema’s goal in the Euros last summer was better- hah.
He’d scored a peach of a goal against Leverkusen at Highbury in the week running up to this. Remarkable professional. Looked for all the world like the FA Cup final in 2001 was his last inclusion in an Arsenal squad. The way he bounced back in 01/02- I can’t speak highly enough of the man.
