I’m sticking by my choice that out of the two options (Kane or Rice) that Rice would be the better option for us. Don’t disagree that Kane hasn’t got 2-3 years in him, but the reality is that we can probably only spend big on one player in the summer, and personally I think Rice would prove the better signing. Plus, no way the scum would sell Kane to us! Rice is going to be interested in a move during the summer if West Ham don’t secure CL football.

I think he looks good driving forward from midfield…I genuinely think he will become the dominant CM in the PL over the next few years. Whoever gets him, will be sorted in that position for the next 8-10 years.

It’s a hypothetical discussion.

Yeah it really does my head in lol. Barcelona just got a 32 year old Auba he’s probably going to give 18-24 months of non stop goals something they’d never get from some of the shitty younger strikers going for tens of millions atm.

Yes…Thanks for that!

What a performance from the big man tonight @Castiel :hammer_and_wrench: @Midfield_Maestro :hammer_and_wrench:

Rice is a class player so if they get a decent striker with some defensive signings, West Ham could consolidate themselves as a very good top six side.

How comes Castiel is getting tagged

I am Rice’s no.1 fan on here. Don’t insult me again.

I wonder if he stays at WHU for another year or two? I have no clue what his contract situation is. I still feel like they’re a forward short.

If he does that then he’d be intent on running his deal down, don’t think it’ll come to that.

Reckon it’s City or Man Utd who go in for him in the summer.

They are like us and desperately need a striker.
If a big PL club shows an interest, like Man City or Chelsea, I think West Ham will take the money.

Their owners got lucky with Moyes and are more than happy with a top half finish.

So because they are a selling club there’s no doubt they would choose to sell Rice rather than build a team around him.

Maybe we’re in the lead for Declan as well?

Doubt it. He will cost an arm and a leg.

With all their departures it screams United throwing the bag.

If Man City get him, as well as Haaland, they’re going to clean up.

He has a contract until 2024 with a club option to extend to 2025. West Ham can afford to keep him another year unless a Godfather offer arrives.

Now that Ten Hag is going to be the manager I think United might go for Phillips. They love a big splash but they have a lot of needs to address and if ETH wants to implement his system it makes some sense to get a midfielder who actually has experience playing the pivot/6 in a 4-3-3 rather than spending twice as much on a guy like Rice and just hoping he can do it.
