Rice came third in the FWA footballer of the year list. Good achievement, that. Been a standout this season.
And didn’t see the match last night, but, despite the defeat, he was apparently immense again.

With what resources are Chelsea gonna buy him btw?
Majority of their fans believe they’ll get him.
They seem to think their new owners are gonna look to make a statement.
That lot is nuts, their defence is getting stripped and their star striker can’t play 30 minutes of football without melting.

It would be a shame if he went to Chelsea because he would make an instant impact but without a rich owner, I’m not sure what their budget will be.
He would be wasted at Man U, Liverpool don’t really need him and spurs can’t afford him, which leaves Man City and if he goes there it won’t make much difference to us.
But if he came here, with a top level striker, and we got Xhaka, Lacazette, Nketiah off the wage bill, it would be the best transfer window we’ve had.
That’s what the article said…not what I was saying…I think Rice would immediately transform our midfield. He remains my No.1 transfer wishlist target for the summer, especially if we get Top 4. Already an excellent midfielder who can continue to improve. Excellent leadership qualities. Perfect age profile at 23. I really think he is going to be a dominant midfielder in the premier league for the next 8-10 years aka Yaya Toure, Lampard, Gerrard, Kante, and alike.
If we get Top 4 this season and have another transformative summer transfer window, I think we can consolidate our Top 4 position next season, and then in 2023-24 we can challenge for the title.
