Actually, results being good at Real is the be-all and end-all.
Madrid haven’t been playing particularly great football for most of Carlo’s last tenure but he got results which was what kept him at the job.
It’s when results aren’t coming that you’re in trouble.
What I meant by that is results being incredible is the be all and end all, good won’t cut it.
I don’t believe taking out a midfielder for a defender is the solution whatsoever especially for that team and if rolls in the door doing that then he ain’t gonna make it IMO
I started to see some nasty tendencies from Alonso particularly in big games where he would bench strikers for example, I’m not as high on him as I was initially
Yeah, I share that sentiment about Alonso.
Think me and you discussed it elsewhere but Madrid will eventually have to make a decision on Mbappe and Vinicius.
Surprisingly Alonso’s input has been heard on transfer dealings so far(the pursuing of a CB and LB was influenced by him apparently), something that Carlo wasn’t afforded.
I do wonder if that’d be a bit of a blessing and curse for him though. Having influence on incomings/outgoings is good but Perez could end up being more critical of Alonso because of it.
Goes without saying that Alonso has to hit the ground running. There won’t be any bedding period, no transitional period where bad results are excused. Barca look primed to have another dynasty.
