With Tomi a liability. Kiwior likely to be sold and Calafiori’s availability limited; it makes sense to go for a CB in the summer. Also factor in Gabi has been linked to clubs in Saudi although can’t imagine him going there this summer but then again anything is possible in football.

He’s good but can’t sit as backup playing 10 games a season forever. Players will only do well in this role for a couple of seasons before getting restless imo.

I like the player. Looks quality and can see him getting a big transfer. I’m not sure spending circa £50m on a CB this summer fits with our priorities but maybe one to keep an eye on in the future.
