Pressure is all on Ramsdale
Because I’m sure he’ll have the jersey come start of the season at least, we’ll see how he deals with it
If you’re really the man in their eyes your club doesn’t put you through this though

Our backup keeper(for now atleast) was spurs target as their first choice keeper. Arteta has brought this team a long way.

This is from June. We took their top target
He was going to be their unrivaled number 1 too. For us he’s a mere backup
I imagine he’ll be #1 pretty quickly, just based on how Arteta runs the team.
Ramsdale biggest challenge won’t even be Raya but the coach.
Raya will be the cup goalkeeper but if Ramsdale gets injured, that’s when I’d imagine they’ll be a change.
Moving like an oil club, let’s gooo.
Now grease some palms in that fucking refs association.
Ramsdale will have to think twice about passing straight to the bottoms teams players after 20 seconds at the emirates now in important games
£25m plus £5m add ons for Raya is a great deal to give us two excellent GKs.
Clear the player only wanted Arsenal. The fact that Spurs were willing to pay £40m makes this deal even better!
Its the beginning of the end of Ramsdale, the fix is in. I guarantee he will not finish the season as No1
I wouldn’t bet on that. I think Ramsdale will raise his game. He isn’t shy of a challenge which is one of the reasons why I am such a big fan of his. We just need Arteta to rotate and get the best out of both players.
I’d be okay if he thought about it just once. The problem was he didn’t fucking think about it at all.
We’ll see, its typically much tougher being the incumbent but Arsenal are likely to start well so the basis for him to be dropped isn’t there yet.
I think if you’re expecting Ramsdale to find a new level because of “competition” you’re going to be disappointed, particularly as it relates to his ball playing. We already saw some of the issues against City, he looked unsteady and uncomposed in that area but alot more confident shot stopping. I’m convinced, despite whatever posturing he offers, signing Raya has rattled and unnerved him. I think the perceived lack of confidence from coaching will have hurt
Even on a practical level, if we’re in a title challenge rotating keepers sounds like one of those smart dumb ideas that backfires. Not to mention Arteta hasn’t shown any intention of running the team like that.
This was the guy they initially wanted after Martinez departed
GK coach has a previous relationship with
Countryman of said GK coach and coach himself
Looking peak for Ramsdale as Arteta seems to finally be getting his 1st choice
Raya is elite. We’re getting a serious upgrade on Rammers.
Good.
Dosnt feel like a very efficient use of resources since Saka is currently in line to pay 60 90min matches next season.
I guess Arteta will have to trust Nelson more, bit I don’t think he will tbh. Plus he’s injured all the time.
