No reason to think we won’t sign a cover for Saka just because we bought a keeper for 30m.

We wont. We sre stacked now. Its time to sell.

You seem incredibly certain. Why do you think they’re finished? I’m not denying we’ve got some sales and contract cancellations to sort out but I’ve seen/heard no confirmation that Arsenal are done from the usually reliable sources. No Wenger-like ā€œwe will get by with the players we haveā€ from Arteta, no suggestion that our final signing will be Jesus when he returns from injury.

I’m just interested in why you’re so certain.

I think he’s just making an obvious observation. We do have a lot of deadwood/surplus players.

I think there is one more move personally but I think that will come after a couple outgoings.

I agree, I can see us scooping up a bargain or loan-to-buy deal towards the end of the month once Balogun, Tavares, Pepe, Cedric, Sambi, Holding and Turner are gone. I think Tierney is the only one being linked to a move away who might still stay.

Because Nelson was given his new big fat contract to be deployted on the wings. Mainly RW as cover for Saka. We wont sign a striker because we have Jesus, Nketiah and Havertz and Trossard can play the position aswell. And yes we are stacked atm and the squad is too big.

also Arteta once said the perfect squad size for him is 22… we have 32 now?
Gotta trim down a bit no matter what.

Nelson’s fitness is a bit of a worry though. Nearing a month out without any update on when he There’s also a question mark over Nketiah. Jesus is out and Havertz is preferred up top. Havertz would probably get a run there before Eddie too.

I think a move for another forward is linked to Eddie.

Reiss was in training pictures last week, no idea when he might be match fit though.

22 outfield players and 3 goalkeepers.

Nelson looks to be back in training. Question mark over Nketiah? Did i miss something? havent seen anything reliable for him.

I’m not talking about links. I’m talking about where he is in the pecking order. He was #2 a year ago, he’s probably #3 or #4 right now.

I think it depends on the game. He is a pure poacher and will make good attacking runs until he dies. He is a good weapon to have if we are chasing a game.

Nketiah was in the Community Shield and should be fit.
Just not sure how Arteta insists on Kai though.

Lets see what he does this weekend. Im hoping to see Mr. Trossard at ST, but we should be winning the game with Nketiah or Havertz in that position also.

Havertz was used in place of a striker because of the plan to press Man City from the front. Who plays up front on Saturday will depend on the tactics, it’s going to be like that this season, it has to be.

Didn’t expect that. Zero risk move.

So he extended his Brentford deal.

Zero risk indeed.
