No he didn’t. He has said that he was interested in him when he was Ajax coach, but thought the transfer from Feyenoord to Ajax was too sensitive after they had already brought over Feyenoords captain as well (who received death threats etc)

Same. Just like with Man Utd, Ronaldo won’t return to the same Madrid. Most players from his time left or are finished to be frank.
Let’s be honest, Kroos doesn’t have long, he hasn’t been the same player either the past 2 seasons. I wouldn’t be particularly shocked if Modric and Benzema drop off too as well. When father time catches up with you, it catches up fast.

It does make sense. But Lewa isn’t going to a club not in the CL.
I don’t think it’s in United’s interest to lose him right now regardless of his feelings.
They aren’t getting a legit striker this window without spunking like 100m. They signed him for 2 years surely with no other intention than him serving those 2 years. He signed that deal knowing that the position he’s in right now was a possibility.
If he wants to play at the top level he’s hardly going to go on strike when he only has a year left.
It may not be but do they really want him there being pissy for the whole season as well as a huge distraction during the 1st season of ten Hags tenure?

Nah, Ronaldo ain’t a guy to down tools. He’s got too much on the line to do that.
He will be pissy but when he’s on the pitch and in training he will be putting in 200% effort in.
I think Ronaldo is just hoping Man Utd understand his ambition. They put out a whole checklist of reasons for him wanting to leave:
- Family issues
- Doesn’t think Man Utd will be challenging for too trophies in the near future
- He’s in the last phase of his career, he wants to spend them at the top level, or in translation, Mr. Champions League wants Champions League football
I don’t think Man Utd are forced to respect his or anyone’s wishes but at the same time, if they’re serious about a rebuild then there’s no reason to keep Ronaldo.
Btw, I saw a reporter speculating yesterday. Can’t find him now. He essentially said that for Ronaldo/Mendes to do this now and specify if a suitable offer comes in, then it probably means they have a concrete interest from someone.

It’s actually in United best interest to let him go. They were a noticeably worst team with him involved. They scored more and created more without him and I can’t see that they won’t be better replacing him with a forward more suited to ETH.
Let Chelsea have him if I were United and get the £500k a week wages off the books

If we learned anything about Todd Boehly is that he is totally erratic. Does feel like the sort of idiot who would actually put in a sizeable bid in as well.
I can’t see Man Utd selling to them though. So Ronaldo’s best chances is Bayern going for him if Lewa goes. And you hest believe it will be on Bayern’s terms. He should be prepared to sacrifice a good chunk of his pay.
He could be in the same situation at Chelsea next year unless he wants to only sign one year deals. If you want to play in the CL don’t sign for an English club that isn’t City.

I think it’s well established that the decision making over at Mendes camp isn’t the greatest.
Because if it was, Ronaldo wouldn’t be going to Juve and then Man Utd.
Would probably have the same number Ballon D’Ors as Messi now and probably another CL or two too.
His best bet now is Bayern, although I’m sure Mendes must be seeing Chelsea as a great opportunity with Todd willing to pay up.

Be cool if he was to go to the chavs, though. Boehly would spunk a bundle and Ronaldo would have about the same impact as he’s had at United. Plus he’ll be a year older, not that I’m sure that makes much difference with Ronaldo.

Doesn’t seem to want to accept he isn’t a £500k a week player anymore on the pitch and his presence does more harm than good.
