City actually need Ronaldo but United really donāt. They already have Martial, Cavani, and Greenwood capable of playing up front. And Rashford, Pogba, and Sancho (if truth be told) are all best on the LW.
United have also been in sell-to-buy mode since the Varane transfer. They badly need both a midfielder and an attacking RB and havenāt closed anything.
I think Mendes is just using United to get more out of City.

Donāt understand why Sterling must go if Ronaldo joins? If only the shirt number. Mahrez torres silva all wingers of sorts are far better options to bin off for Ronaldo if they need to make space? Sterling can play anywhere along the front line even behind the striker.
I personally think CR7 at Man Utd tilts it in their favour, especially with their already strong attack and strengthening the defence with Varane
Weāll have spent more on White and Ramsdale than Utd on Varane and CRON.

You donāt turn down Ronaldo if heās available and you have a shot at signing him.
But United are already stacked in their attack. Makes no sense from a squad building perspective.
