Tbf, I don’t think it matters so long they win a major trophy or two per decade which they tend to do anyways despite having no structure or consistency at admin level.
Meanwhile India have come back from a home battering to take the Aussies to the cleaners in the first test. Guess we’re unlikely to see that much consistency, which is probably good for the unpredictability of the game.

You don’t win test matches if you are poor in the field and depend on one bowler for all your wickets. Lots of thinking for the Indian team management to do.
South Africa’s Mulder apparently declared at 367 not out on Day 2 lunch. Doubt they still won’t have won against Zimbabwe if he’d just batted an hour more to get those 33 runs for the world record. Seems like a very strange decision to me.
