Oh great
We can get a football out and have a giant match. Silent night.
Looks like England are getting a Tier 4 aswell which means we both would have the same amount now
Tier 2 doesnât work, tier 3 wonât work, so the government logically looks to create a tier 4.
The fucking state of things right now
UK gov couldnât have handled this any worse could they?
Inept Government doing inept things. Whoâs surprised.
Nope they sure couldnât.
Tbf the only ones who seem to have handled this well are South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan and New Zealand.
NZ done well as they are an isolated island in the sea. Sounds familiar⌠
And thatâs where the similarity ends.
yeah haha. London not the size of NZ ?
I think London has not far off twice the population of New Zealand lol
Three times the population actually haha
Think NZ pop is like 3.5m or something ridiculous
Edit: apologies I was wrong, thereâs 5m of them. So double the pop is right.
Yeah New Zealandâs policy would be impractical here considering our close links to the continent, plus it would have wrecked our economy even more than the current measures.
Tbh no European nation has handled the crisis well - France, Spain, Belgium have probably handled it even worse than us. Asian nations seems to have done much better, perhaps due to their willingness to use technology to combat it and previous experience with pandemics.
Should have added Australia for the laugh.
Trumpâs COS was on Sunday news shows saying that the government is not going to control the pandemic. These jokers really donât give a fuck about anyone but themselves and prepping for whatever sweet lobbying job theyâre going to land in.
Press conference at 3:15pm @Aussiegooner
This douche better walkout with that north-face jacket on.
â Alright are we good to go â â wildly infectious â doesnât discriminate â â unlawful â â you donât want this virus, no one wants this virus â
WE ARE FREE!
I do feel very privileged that we are now free - when the rest of the world is basically in serious trouble.
80,000 daily cases in the US
30,000 in France
30,000 in UK
20,000 in Italy
1 in Australia
Sadly itâs too little too late for so many businesses, also with the allowances he has given itâs still not viable for lots to open.
Baby steps but Iâm hoping for a lot more in a months time.
You have one new case?
We had that in the summer aswell. Makes no difference as it just comes back up eventually.
You just have this halfway house of it being ânormalâ but with less harsh restrictions.
This is Australiaâs second wave.
80% of Australia have had an average of 1-5 cases a week since May (through our winter).
We have the benefit of being able to close our borders with ease, and weâre typically a very âyesâ nation compared to Europe and the US. Must be our closeness to Asia that makes this happen.
