Too many new players to integrate at once, also trying to implement a playing style with half your squad not wanting to play for you is had
Enzo isnāt and never will be worth anywhere near 100 mil. What a fucking scam Benfica pulled
So a club with no expectations.
Seem to do that with all of their player sales.
Sort of, yeah. A club where finishing top half of the table and even giving European football a shot will be seen as a good season. A club like Chelsea where expectations are high and patience too little wonāt serve well to most upcoming managers.
Didnāt we have a Chelsea fan on OA once? What was his name again?
They are champions at finding little gems and selling way over what they are worth
10 points off relegation
14 points off top 4
2 wins in 15
Potter isnāt a coach for a top club
Potter is using Arteta for inspiration
Not even remotely the same circumstances. He came into a team that was European champions only 18 months prior and had a pretty good foundation as far as circumstances go.
On top of that heās been gifted a host of really good players to work with and they clearly havenāt got a clue what heās asking them to do lol
Turnarounds like Arteta are the exception to the rule. Potter could spend another 5 years at Chelsea and still not get it right. He simply doesnāt have the ability to manage top players and his system of play is not fit for the top level. Heās a mid table coach and thatās exactly what this stint has shown.
Tuchel got sacked for much much less.
Potter at Chelsea does feel a bit like Moyes at United few years ago. Some managers arenāt cut for the high pressure clubs. Realising that and moving on may benefit Potterās career. Though gotta say, watching Chelsea throwing insane amounts of money and still stumbling is beautiful.
Okay lads. Thinking about watching the Arsenal documentary. What do you think?.
A bit akward for Auba no?
It is somewhat of a Rioch.
Havenāt seen the documentary but was he close to getting the sack? Never thought that was really the case.
The season started with 3 losses in a row. In the doc they had a number of soundbites from unhappy fans saying they want him out. āClose to getting sackedā is a bit of nonsense Potter has added on himself.
I thought so. With hindsight you have to say Arteta was never close to being fired. It was the fans.
The fire sale will not be a way for them to balance the books like they did a few years ago with the PSG deals. I would expect everyone to lowball them to get deals done.
I wonder if all the players will be for sale or will they have a ācoreā of untouchables?
More losses than wins.
More games than goals.
Fuck you Chelsea.
