Chelsea are hideous thugs. I wouldn’t piss on this Russian Mafia of a football club if they were on fire.

On the conditions of Saliba and Gabriel…

I don’t know. I think [Wilo] has another test tomorrow to see the extent of that feeling, that sensation that he had, then we’ll know more. With Gabi, there are still some weeks to go.

They are back to being a squad full of bastards. James, Cockurella, Enzo, Caicedo, Delap, Fofana to name a few.

There was a smug, arrogance about them. Really wished we’d won at the end there, if Timber ducks then Gyokeres gets the winning goal.

Not happy with this at all.

Not sure how much was down to the players and how much to Arteta but we definitely haven’t shown enough initiative and true desire to win this after the equaliser.

Seems we were quite happy with the draw and I don’t like that attitude (when playing against 10 men).

You have to give some credit to Chelsea (a very strong performance) but you could see we were quite casual while building our attacks after 1-1… You also didn’t see us winning as many of those 50:50s as usual. It was beyond frustrating to see quite a few loose balls that were floating into no man’s land, and it’s a Chelsea player who got to it first, after the Caicedo red…

That “handbrake” was on again sadly.

A win would have been huge, a draw is fine (as I said before the game) but it’s hugely disappointing in these circumstances.

Ohh… OK, let’s just say we had a day off. Hard to keep your top top level for all these 3 matches in a row, in just 7 days. Can’t say we were bad either, but the recent performances raised my expectations.
Chelsea were pumped, they played like their lives depended upon this… as if it’s the world cup final
:arteta4:

I don’t think it was the handbrake, they just had more energy and we were very nervy in possession without Saliba/Gabriel at the back. They were able to play an easy match last Saturday in which some key players like Caicedo were rested, a Tuesday match with a red card to the opponent in which they just jogged all second half, then today. We went intense derby on Sunday, super intense matchup with Europe’s best on Wednesday, then today. IMO, that difference in the intensity of the work put in by the two sides over the past week showed today.

Our tactics were actually quite aggressive in that we tried to play the very open, end-to-end match Chelsea clearly wanted. A handbrake performance would have been to sit deep and compact and just hit them on the counter.

He said sensation like Saliba’s still halfway through an LSD experience.

Sounds like they were real nasty bastards.

Fuck these guys. Hope we smash them return fixture with the rest of the team back

Only Etihad left for tough away fixtures I think.

Anfield, Stamford Bridge, OT, St James done.

Yeah, could be the energy thing too, thought about it after posting that lol

Was a super intensive game you have to say, probably the most intesive and physically demanding game we played all season as far as I know.
We literally had no breather before they scored and when they backed up and we could progress the ball a bit easier. But went on to press us intensly soon afer that again.

All in all, we won’t gave the right on a “bad day” against Emery, already the next Saturday. Worried about that game already.

They definitely played like it was their last game on earth BUT Ive always said Im not gonna focus on other teams styles as long as they arent putting in tackles like that ridiculous caicedo challenge. I dont like people moaning about set pieces and so I dont really moan about other styles.

Chelsea made it tough and deserved the point in all honesty. We need to beat whats infront of us, we can do that and get back to winning against Brentford.

Haven’t seen the game as been working but I’ll take a WWD against Spuds, Bayern and The Chavs in the space of a week.

There are key moments in our loss against Liverpool and draws against Sunderland/Chelsea that I wonder we will go on to regret.

Eze late chance against Liverpool
Merino late chance against Sunderland
Timber/Gyokeres late chance against Chelsea

We need to build a winning run, somehow try avoid these injuries that keep occurring and really come away with statements wins ie like we did against Newcastle United.

By that logic, we shouldn’t lose or draw a single game this season. Theo, STFU.

There’s a lot of praise for Chelsea in the media and that’s fair. But to expect Arsenal to automatically win every game is just unrealistic, even if playing against 10 men. We were playing the second best team in the league, away, not some mid or lower table team.

Overall, Chelsea were at their best, and with 10 men they were even more pumped. On the other hand, we were no where near our best, for whatever reason (fatigue, missing Gabriel and Saliba). We just take the point and move on.

We won’t win every game we play. Its nuts to expect that

Whether he praises or criticises us, Alan Shearer belongs in the bin.

I’m more bummed about the draw against Sunderland than Chelsea.

We created a bazillion chances, turned the game around, had that game wrapped up, somehow conceded in the last minute and we immediately responded with a massive big chance to grab a late winner.

The result yesterday was fair. Both teams pretty much cancelled each other out.

Anyway, boys can make it right by slapping them when they come to the Emirates.
In the meantime, let’s win our next game.

Game raisers, too emotional and a team of deplorable players. Credit to them for bringing the intensity needed to thwart us, going man-to-man and stopping any build up. They can argue the Caicedo sending off affected their game but ultimately, I couldn’t see them keeping to that same level of work rate in the second half anyway. We were always going to be in the game.

They’re not at our level yet though and I’m confident we pump them at the Emirates.

I feel like this has been a worthy point against one of the better teams in the PL this season, away from home. We’ve put in a massive shift in since coming back from international football with three massive games.

We have a host of attackers coming back/on their way back into the fold; take stock, refresh and have the freedom of rotating the team with the games we have coming up.
