Has to be. I think he has the authority to lay down the law given his background.
We did. His job was on the line yesterday.
That’s why the Alonso links have popped up again recently.
I guess the surprising bit is that he’s not even finishing the season. Gone after the cup final next week.
Bloke turned up this season just to take his hefty pay check and bounce. Crazy how disorganised Madrid have been this campaign under him.
Nailed it.
People will look a Madrid with all that attacking talent and think Ancelotti isn’t doing a good job but they don’t realise how tough the gig at Madrid truly is.
He has zero power over transfers, his job is simply dealing with whatever Perez provides and not complain.
He’s supposed to fit all the superstars in the team and deal with the many gaps the squad has by shifting players around.
The fact Ceballos has grown to be one of Madrid’s most important players this season and was bigged up as some sort of trump card ahead of the game yesterday should tell you a lot about the true state of that squad.
We’ll see how Alonso will fair having to deal with all this himself.
They really are a classless organisation.
Would really be something if he managed to go and revive Brazil’s fortunes but unfortunately that would mean that Richarlison might be happy so obviously I can’t cheer for that.
Great manager
If they have any sense, any dignity, any football knowledge, they should fire Perez instead of Don Carlo.

Don’t tell me the Klopp rumours are true. ![]()
if true will the Liverpoop fans call him a traitor because somehow they feel like they own him.
The cult will be out for his blood
Klopp is a smart man, he won’t join Real, at least not now.
If they are knocking on his door he either takes the job now or he never manages them. If he has any desire at all to do so he absolutely takes it.
Why never?
Never say never.
I think he won’t do it right now because he just newly left Pool and signed for Red Bulls .. his track record shows he is not that kind of a man.
Because if he doesn’t take this job, now, then it’s very likely he doesn’t take any managerial job. And real aren’t gonna appoint a manager who has been out of the game for years when the time comes to sack the next guy.
Not being a manager for a year or two will be outdated is exaggerating.
Excluding Carlo and Pep, Arteta seems staying at Arsenal for long, Alonso is a candidate probably, Flick is doing good at Barca, who else has the pedigree to manage a big team like Real?
Who else has the charisma and also intelligence/knowledge to handle multiple egos in the dressing room?
I can surely say, even after 5 years, you can’t find too many in the market just like right now.
Pep and Klopp are in a different level than all others.
Why?
He cited workload and the pressure of being a coach as one of the reasons ge left but he didn’t close the window on coming back.
Most coaches at the highest level are ultimately obsessed with their job. It wouldn’t be particularly shocking if after a year out Klopp realised that he still has something left in the tank and wanted to coach again. And there’s not many exciting jobs out there than being the coach of Madrid and exploring a new league and country he never coached in.
Also, one of you needs to change their avi because they’re too similar and for a second I thought one of you was arguing with himself.
I don’t necessarily see a manager like him working there, he needs to be in control of which players are being signed or at the very least have most of the say and they tend not to operate like that. He’d do a good job but I could see it not working out that well long term due to how particular he’d be about the players he wants, and I think they wouldn’t always be on the same page that way. It’d be interesting and would certainly rile Liverpool fans up.
Erm, isn’t it well known that Klopp didn’t have much power over transfers(thankfully for them given the players we’ve heard he wanted) at Liverpool and they ultimately signed the players they wanted instead?
It’d be no different to Liverpool really other than the talent pool he’d be working with will be significantly better.
Klopp didn’t have control over Liverpool’s signings pretty sure.
Although would Madrid sign players to fit Klopp’s vision is another question.
