Bryan Mbeumo

Mbeumo to Spurs seems like the best timeline because it’ll drive United supporters crazy and he won’t do that well anyway.

70m :pires2:

Wonder if Thomas Frank will be able to make this Spurs side competitive.

Spurs hit lightning in a bottle one time in my lifetime with that batch of players they put together nearly a decade ago and they didn’t win a fucking thing lol.

I’m not at all concerned about the appointment of Thomas Frank lol

70m for Mbeumo.. what a joke

I actually really hope this rumoured move to Spurs goes through just to upset all the African United fans I’ve seen running facebook pages bragging about how Mbuemo turned us down to join the mighty Man United.

Cursed algorithm exists only to feed me rage bait.

Apparently it’s only close to what Brentford actually want for him lol

He’s a good player but chances of him replicating the season he’s just had are very slim especially at United where he won’t be on penalties

It was more so an outlier and so can expect his level and production to regress to the mean

Defo not worth £70m…that’s crazy money.

M BUM o

Surely, he isn’t going to replace Spurs legend Brennan Johnson. 120m to have Johnson and Mbeumo is sickening.

Mbuemo is a very very solid player, but 70M is pure deperation lol

Mbuemo is at a mid table club but in the last couple of seasons has been one of the most prolific attacking players in the PL and because Frank got the best out of him and wants him at spurs, then around 70m is good value and certainly better value than Havertz who cost around the same.

You were so close to making a post without including a complaint about something Arsenal have done :joy:

Well that depends on how he plays doesn’t it? lol

Spurs thinking they’ve turned a corner with fluking the CL, only to sign mbuemo and Wissa for 120m :joy:

Might crack the top half this season look out :eyes:

Gyokeres rumours starting to pop up again as well.

If they get him, that’s an entire new front 3 of Cunha, Gyokeres and Mbeumo.

A tasty one at that

Think Gyokeres ruins it. I’d argue a false 9 makes more sense with those two out wide. Zirkzee would make sense.

From a resource utilization perspective, I don’t really understand buying both Cunha and Mbeumo unless they’re playing one of them at striker.

Bruno, Amad, Mainoo, and Mount are all best in one of those positions behind the striker. Moving Bruno back into a deeper midfield position just makes it harder for him to do the things that make him special and will emphasize his weaknesses. Amad is probably their best young player but he’s not going to have much pathway with Mbeumo in his place. Mainoo they seem to have no idea what to do with at this point.

And they’re not in Europe so its not like they’re going to need to rotate a lot or have two players for every position next year.

This team is really calling out for a true central midfielder with some quality, a striker, a goalkeeper, an attacking right wing back, and a top level CB. Maybe that’s all coming but 120m on Mbeumo and Cunha surely makes it harder.
