Tbf £70m is the new £40m these days.
I can’t see many other wingers with a similar output going for much less than that in this market tbh.
Mbeumo has a ton of red flags for performance regression.
-Scored five penalties last year, won’t take them at United.
-15 non penalty goals on a XG of 7.5, after not overperforming XG his whole career.
-Many of his assists off set pieces, which he may not take at United.
-Most of his goals in transition, very few against deep organized defenses.

It might be that all their targets are at clubs that finished several places above them and when they played them, saw enough to know to avoid them.
