Brexit

2 days to go. So are you leaving in the end? :hipster:

The EU extended the departure date to April 12th or some time around there. So weā€™re sticking around for the time being

Ok so weā€™re not getting a no deal Brexit, weā€™re not cancelling Brexit, weā€™re not going with Mays deal and the EU isnā€™t going to negotiate a new deal.

Does that mean Brexit limbo in perpetuity?

It was a cheated vote anyways, the Leave campaign broke numerous rules. Also they have actual ties to Russia re. collusion, not the fake ones over the Atlantic.

If the media were inclined to report it that ways, you could even have had momentum behind voiding the vote.

But the BBCā€™s political agenda is set by Tories these days so no diceā€¦

SM & CU is alot softer than Mayā€™s deal, and greater harmonisation allows a path back to back to full memebership for the UK down the line.

EU would take that all day long

I thought the problem with the EU Negotiation stuff was more Theresa Mayā€™s refusal to budge on her ā€˜red linesā€™ (FoM, etc).

I can see the EU being open to re-negotiations if the UK starts taking this a tad bit seriously.

So if the hardline Brexiteers vote for her deal itā€™s to get rid of her and not to deliver their vision of Brexit?

What dumb cunt is going to be stupid enough to take over.

Gove, Johnson, Leadsom, Javid, Lidington?

Iā€™ll be weary with that question, for there are plenty of ā€˜dumb cuntā€™ to go around :arteta:

Was more of a rhetorical one folks.

Torys should be finished now. Donā€™t care about brexit just being PM

Shame the opposition is so poor.

People have been banging on about this for ages. Itā€™s a perfectly fair point, except no one with sense would void the vote because the people who voted didnā€™t cheat. They just voted. Plus there is no indication they have shifted views based on these facts. If anything they have hardened. Quite simply voiding a democratic vote is just a really bad idea.

Also want to add that Iā€™m really worried for this country. If May gets her deal over the line, then the national outrage is going to reach unknown heights. Good news is it will finish the Tories, but the cost will be the growth of something worse. So many people just want to leave, and they won, and their wish is being stolen by parliament. Itā€™s going to be a lethal blow to democracy. I just donā€™t get the feeling this will be just another political disappointment.

There were 17m+ voted leave without any defined parameters. How do you know most of them arenā€™t perfectly happy with Mays deal?
