Yeah, not a chance. It sounds like they fumbled the ending of Slammiversary too by letting their red hot challenger for the title get made to look like a fool by a NXT guy holding their title.
It is good to see them doing well though, hopefully they can keep it up and go from strength to strength.
How long you got? Removal of six sided ring, ill-advised monday night wars. Signing every WWE old hack that had no interest in making the TNA product better, kicking every TNA talent to the curb, destroying the X-Division and in general putting together a crap show.

God yeah, wasn’t watching TNA at the time but it sounds like he did an absolute number on TNA. Watched quite a few vids about it (and WCW under him/Russo) and it sounded like such awful times for the company.

I think they’re setting up an invasion angle. Trick even showed up on RAW and cut a promo with the TNA Championship, addressed what happened at Slammiversary and took a shot at Taker(who I heard will be involved in an angle with him).
Let’s be honest, TNA habe benefitted greatly from all the promotion they get from WWE. They don’t do the numbers they did at Slammiversary without WWE’s help.

Definitely. The WWE/NXT involvement and then AJ coming in too has added so many eyes to the product.
Assume AJ will have one final match (he massively put over Leon Slater, so maybe him) so imagine that’ll do big numbers too.
I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not 
WWE was absolutely atrocious around this time too, this is when I finally gave up on it.
They get too much heat for WCW. WCW died because of the merger. TNA they had way more control and made a mess of it (Especially Eric).

What TNA originals are currently in AEW? I wonder if they might look to jump ship if TNA does catch-up

Joe, Josh Alexander, Mike Bailey(might have butchered his name).
There’s probably more.
Joe I can definitely see returning. He loved working with Hunter and Regal, I think they’re gonna try and poach him for a behind the scenes role eventually.
It’ll be funny if Punk and Joe end up running NXT together for Triple H.
To think they once did a certain interview burying him…

Deonna Purrazza too! And she’s shown some frustration with her booking so that wouldn’t be a surprise given she was pretty successful there I think.
