Yeah sounds like with Evolution they actually let the talent wrestle and didn’t fill it with celebrity guests and terrible shit like that. Novel idea but sounds like it paid off!

I agree, having just watched it, a good show overall.
Highlights for me were Moné v Storm (where they were both over by the end of it), the women’s casino gauntlet, the Ospreay/Strickland v Bucks tag match and the 3-way tag match (great ending)
World title match was better than I thought it would be.
Let downs were probably the TNT title match (great ending nevertheless) and the Omega v Rainmaker match. Just didn’t seem like the crowd were invested.

Yeah I was a little bit let down by Okada/Omega tbh.
It was good, and whilst it was never going to live up to the previous 4 matches, which are absolute masterpieces, I did expect a bit more.
Probably didn’t help that I watched the other 4 matches last week in preparation for it lol. NJPW Kenny and Okada were absolutely different animals back then.
I absolutely guffawed in disbelief when Mone kicked out of THREE storm zeros, but I’m glad Toni won. Her vs Athena should be fantastic.

They’re not overtaking AEW as #2 though. That’s the hater in Eric speaking.
AEW has the backing of a billionaire and are very much in bed with WBD, they’re part owners of AEW after all.
TNA is doing a serviceable job as #3. I think what could happen is WWE outright buying TNA.
