Bret Hart Was Quite Good

If you can find a clip I’d love to vomit at it.

I wonder if Punk would want to have that title. He talked in pretty negative terms about his previous runs with the Big Gold Belt and the issues of having a secondary World Title.

I do believe it when people say Punk has changed I honestly think shit don’t bother him anymore lol

I wonder if his time in AEW gave him a bit of perspective on WWE. Especially a WWE without Vince.

Wait a minute, there’s something just as bad.

At 1:01 he completely fucks up jumping over the ropes FFS :joy: nearly injured himself there.

Come on.

Yea and now they’re working it into the storyline. He “slipped” in the tag match earlie

Could have been worse

Bit dangerous from Gable there

Chad Gable is incredible. Deserves a singles title

I’m constantly amazed by how well he does with some truly shit creative :grinning:

What an injustice that is…

I got it under Vince, he never got Gable, but he was one Hunter’s guys at NXT with American Alpha.
He should know firsthand that the guy can do way more than this lower card comedy shit.

The way he pulls stuff like this off is quite Kurt Angle-esque.

Great promo from Punk. Perhaps this triple threat could be saved. Second time that Punk implied his path to the main event isn’t over and he put an interesting focus on the contract he’ll sign for that Triple Threat on Friday.

Hopefully they don’t waste that segment too. Would’ve loved to go.

More than worthy, however, I’m a bit surprised Hogan v Andre isn’t the first induction given how important that match has been presented by WWE.
I guess this could be a way to get Steve back for this year’s Mania.

Good way of getting around the fact they’ve run out of people to induct :grinning:

Also that match covers the holy trinity of the OA Wrestling thread:

  1. Bret Hart was quite good
  2. Stone Cold might be the GOAT
  3. 1997 was a good year for wrestling.

WWE has been reading our hot takes.

Did anyone attend yesterday’s show?

Andre was past it in that match, unfortunately. It wasn’t the first time they’d wrestled, it wasn’t the first time Andre had been slammed and it wasn’t in front of 93,000 people. The aura of that match has waned significantly over time.

From a WWE stance, of course, they’re bound to put that match in the HoF at some point.
