Bournemouth vs Arsenal (PL) 2-0

Evanilson is clean through there at pace. That’s a pretty clear goal-scoring opportunity. Whether past decisions have been correct is irrelevant to whether this one is.

Feels like merino given the ball away quite a few times

this is what’s worrying for me.

After the Rice red early on, you would’ve thought the team would try to think first before they act. But for whatever reason, they’re not learning their lesson, so naturally get punished for it.

Whether there’s an active agenda against us or not, its our job to be disciplined and we’ve failed to do that this season.

At this rate, Arteta will have to start planning for winning matches with 10 men

Super merino the guy who was gonna bench partey?:rofl:

Yeah he’s been shite so far. TP5 been our most consistent this season imo.

Not overly impressed with him so far

Bournemouth pinning us like they’re prime Barca and we’re 2006ish Derby county ffs. Might turn the TV off soon.

Been very average. Every game we are getting done by a ball over the top.

There will be no title challenge this season if we carry on playing with ill discipline and making silly errors.

This is it. The ref has made an objective decision there. I don’t see how Gillet can rule it a clear and obvious error.

Already switched over to watch college american football - just not worth the stress.

I think it’s closer to a red than not, but I’ll have to take a few looks again later.

Saliba is the last man and he’s pulling their attacker from behind who is clear on goal.
Even if it’s far from the goal that’s usually a red.

What makes it worse, as I said, Saliba would surely catch up on him considering his pace, unless that guy has freaky/elite pace. But the ref can’t think about that really and he shouldn’t know that, Saliba has well above average pace for a CB… Saliba himself should be aware od that ffs.

Sterling should have stayed.
Push White to Center back and Partey to righ back

Agree to disagree then.

Is that the same if he’s past the last man inside his own half. It becomes highly speculative based on what might potentially lead to a goal scoring opportunity.

My own speculation is that White would have got back - or at least got close enough to help put him off.

You, I and VAR can’t tell, hence they shouldn’t have got involved once the ref made his decision

Merino is pissing me off already. No right foot, slows the play down and often goes backwards.

Might be he’s not confident enough to play his game as the new boy in the team but fucking hell, dogshit so far.

Yeah Merino is not it.

Doesn’t it sound like Kai playing left 8??

Bit early to make that call lol

A little yes.

I’d have put him CB personally after the red and moved trossard in the left 8 spot. Give up the LW we weren’t using anyway.
