BOOZE

Ashamed to admit it really, but in this hot weather I’ve been camped out in my daughter’s pool house chugging Michelob Ultra, the pissingest piss of american beers. Forgive me, father. The dog’s even disgusted.

Love a rare Saturday day drinking. Hits different when you’ve had a night shift the night before.

Genuinely surprised at this reaction. :joy:

You would think it was Tottenham lol. I seen it in the fridges and thought it looked cool. Maybe it helps estrella is probably my favourite beer if I was to choose.

Just got two pints of Birra Moretti in a Hackney boozer and couldn’t believe my eyes when the card reader said “£10.00”

Fucking bargain!!!

Sometimes I get that in a bar for about €1.20 for a 33cl bottle. Don’t know how that equates to in pints though.

Pint is 568ml, so you’re getting vastly better value. But for London, a flat £10 for two pints of the premium lager on top is serious value lol

Just fyi, a 500ml can of Urquell here is $4.69 ($4.20 on special sometimes). So that’s about £2.50.

Buying at that price is in Italy as well :slightly_smiling_face:

You’ve made me want cold Moretti now :joy:

I bought a couple of bottles of non-alcoholic beer at some bar at Angel Islington a couple of years ago and it came to £11.70.

I really fancy a beer now too.

Recommendations please. I’m struggling to find anywhere in this part of Essex that sells proper Caribbean white rum, can anyone recommend a brand so I can buy some on line. My favourite is Mount Gay. My local store does sell Barcardi but I’ve heard it’s shit.

Cruz campo for the beer.

As for rum, ever since a trip to Cuba a few years ago I’ve always been a fan of Havana Club.

I’ve heard good things about Havana Club.

Diplomatico produce some good white rums if for sipping.

Not sure how widely available the brand is in the UK, as I only got more into rum and tequila since I moved to the U.S.
