I think Friends is probably milquetoast enough to escape the purges

Well, you never know. When it was added to Netflix a couple of years ago I remember reading a story about how it had gained a new generation of viewers who were âshockedâ over some of the storylines.

Why should it be so forced?
Hire black, asian or muslim characters if there is a need for it.
It is not hard to think 6 friends(2 of whom were siblings) in New York were all white in a white City of a white country.

NYC has very percentages of black and latinos. They could be all white with all white friends I suppose.
Also doing those jobs, ie Joey/Rachel/Pheobe, would never have afforded those appartments.
I wonder how much of this opinion comes directly from Friends

I think she was talking about the show as a whole. Not just the main six. Most of their partners and associates throughout the whole 10 seasons were white. And when they did finally bring in a black girlfriend, it was only at David Schwimmerâs insistence.
While that is unfortunate, if your natural instinct is not to draft a character which belongs to a certain race or religion or nationality, then all these guys will do is create a placeholder character for sake of diversity.
All they did with that black Ross/Joey girlfriend was some random black girl who was studious.
They will never be able to draft a character which would have a great character development like say Walter White.
It wonât be a honest writing or casting.

They should pull Friends anyway.

Those apartments they had were so big it was ridiculous.
They were almost the size of a set on a TV sitcom. 
Unfortunate surname in this context but I agree, one of the greatest characterâs and performances on any TV programme.
