They’ve got Lamptey, Bissouma and White, who have a combined value of about 140m, who we’ve been linked with, who are better than what we have.
Have we even got three equivalent players worth as much as that?

Adams had already been made our captain, won the league title, the League Cup and was an England international, before he was White’s age.
I’ve got no problem with White but comparing him with our greatest captain is laughable and just show the ignorance of whoever @lagaarxi is.

I wanted him too until recently, he’s been shocking recently, but so has Southampton overall. Maybe they’re the issue, not him.

Yeah, spending stupid money on an unproven player is just one own goal away from a disaster.

We park the bus under Arteta. He’s managed to actually make Rob Holding look somewhat decent. I think Ben White will do just fine here, but spending 40m on the dood is a whole different conversation.
Always worrying when the best thing people say about the guy is how good he is on the ball. That’s not the main part of his job.
Maybe I’m wrong but this definitely feels like Mustafi Mk II.
