i’m sorry i cannot take hagn seriously he is just as crap as that indydoofus
He was just quoting another source though
Very underwhelming if true.
I don’t have the patience to watch him developing and growing at this point and it does look like needs some time. Highly unlikely he hits the ground running in the first few months, looking at what he offers in the BL atm.
There must be something very special hidden in him if we are willing to go for him at this stage of our project.
In what way is he meant to be an upgrade on Havertz?
Nothing to be worried about, isn’t that chump a former team sheet leaker who pivoted to rumours to leech some P’s? lol
Let Chelsea sign this dude, I don’t think it’s the signing of a team that is really looking to win the title next season .If you’re looking to have an excuse up your sleeve perhaps
He isn’t the finished article and if we go in this direction, we’ll potentially regret it especially with our window to win
And if the plan is to still have Havertz playing significant minutes then yeah we aren’t winning a major trophy
Arteta loves to run effective players into the ground, if Gyok hits the ground running he’s be the starter over Havertz who I can see being relegated to a midfield role
the flip flopping in this thread is crazy lol.
I think our recruitment team are lunatics if they think Sesko is going to fire us to a league title, he can’t even get 15 goals in the Bundesliga…
and for £80m too? Christ.
Havertz needs to be sold
He’s upgradeable player that it’s beyond a joke
The love for him baffles me and him in midfield is a nasty watch
Not going to argue that Arteta isn’t often poor at rotation. If Gyok comes in and just scores for fun, then Arteta will likely ride him harder. But the much more likely scenario with either is that they come in, maybe do well enough to be preferred but not so much that Arteta wants them at all times instead of another player he really rates, and there is some kind of rotation.
We play like 55-60 matches per year now across all competitions. That’s 5000-5500 minutes in the CF spot in the highest intensity league in the world at a high energy position where you need somebody pressing like hell out of possession and with the legs to be decisive in the final third. Even a guy like Haaland has only played about 3700 minutes the last two seasons. Its really a two player job.
Alongside Øde, he’s our best presser and a contributing factor to earning is the best OOP team in the world. Arteta will rightly not just drop his interest in using Havertz.
By no means should this mean it blocks minutes for a striker that comes in, whether it’s Viktor or Benjamin. It means we get to distribute minutes affectively amongst the forward line and keep legs fresh (but that’s on Arteta). I’d rather have Gyökeres or Sesko come in and let Arteta have options to use rather than run one into the ground.
I don’t see value in someone who in my view is backup status in the requisite team that can win the PL title, his next contract will be £300K a week plus as that’s the way football works and I can’t rock with it when I’ve the likes of Merino come in and match the kind of contribution he makes in terms of numbers
Now yes he is a superior presser and athlete and he contributes there but this isn’t something that is uber rare and in terms of value I don’t really see it but yeah he’ll hang around because he’s a pet favourite of Arteta and one of his signings but I again I don’t want to see this dude clocking significant minutes for us next season especially when it matters the most
One thing I’ll add to the Sesko discourse is that while there is definitely risk attached to a younger player who isn’t the finished article its also true that just about every big club in the world has been tracking him for the last 3-4 years for a reason and that a LOT of the best strikers of the last 10-15 years really blew up at ages 22-23 if you look at their development. Its not a sure thing that he’ll continue to improve but he’s right at the point when players like Suarez, Lewandowski, Lautaro, Lukaku, Isak, etc really made big jumps.
I don’t trust teamnewsandtix anyway so I’d say its probably an open race between him and Gyokeres. But I’m not going to freak out if the club think Sesko is the better bet. As others have said, however, this can’t be the only attacking addition. If you’re gambling a little bit on Sesko, then you surely need a LW coming in to improve that spot too.
With all these new posts, I was expecting some more handy hints on pizza toppings.
Luckily this scammer knows Jack shit
Both hagn and tnat
Btw, by everything I’ve heard/read Etikite is probably a bigger talent than Sesko. A very similar profile.
There is Osimhen too.
Sesko seems like the shittiest option of them all imo. I hope I’m horribly wrong if we do get him.
Ekitike is really talented in terms of link up and skill but absolutely cannot shoot or finish. Every shot is with the side of his foot. If people are annoyed by Havertz this guy will drive them crazy.
If that’s true that’s a big no no lol.
I don’t want another striker who can’t strike a ball ffs.
Just get Gyokeres ffs.
The biggest problem with this Sesko deal has always been the price. As far as potential goes he’s got the highest of them all.
It should tell you a lot that top clubs were lining up to get such an unproven striker last summer.
Said it a couple days ago but if he was available for something more reasonable I’d take him.
Leipzig’s failure to qualify to any European competition may have changed things drastically on his availability and price.
Potential.
Based on what?
None of us have actually watched any of these shit guys that much.
He just happens to be the youngest so I guess has highest potential?!
Look I am happy to be wrong.
If he comes here and is the next lewandowski then fair play.
But he looks bad.
Ekitike is nicer on the eye because he’s a bit more skillful on the ball, helps up out that he’s lanky in comparison.
However, I watched him against Spurs. Got a lucky goal from a shot he slipped on but outside of that he got pocketed by Tottenham. Physically he was bullied by Romero and VdV.
Sesko hasn’t scored as much this season but he seems to have a more balanced profile.
