About 10 years ago Gyokeres wouldn’t be getting anything near this hype, while Sesko would be a complete unknown random striker (a Nikola Zigic with pace).

I can see us going for both. We were already a striker short after we sold Nketiah.
Havertz is a forward rather than a striker and while he’s been playing up front I can see his role as a hybrid player who can slot in anywhere through the middle in the attacking half. Jesus is done. So we really need a first team striker and a development player. Sesko is the latter, but he may be too expensive for that squad place.
If Arteta is happy to have two EPL level keepers, then that should surely apply to the striker position too.
I like Sesko and I think he improves us should we go for him again. I’d love for us to be really greedy, like eating a large pizza or four burgers that have been BBQ’d and still going up for more type of greedy and go for Seskeres, but there you go.
I think Berta wants a ‘quick win’ and the round peg (Gyokeres) certainly goes in the round hole.
Certainly after watching last night’s CL game between Inter v Barca, I want my striker in the clutch moments absolutely thunder blasting every shot off at all opportunities. We’re in the front seat now, we need to make sure that a lot of our transfers hit for next season.

We need someone who knows where the goal is without having to think about, laces though the ball, back of the net-type striker. Both of our targets are that person but Sesko would probably need more of a settling-in period. Nice fast striker to have on the bench when Plan A is failing.

I think it says something that he is super replaceable
13 League goals. If you apply Bundesliga tax which is around a 5-10 Goal reduction depending on how much you rate the league.

It’s fair to say that the few passengers left on the Sesko train will be getting off at the next station to swap over to the Gyokeres express heading straight to the Emirates.

I think I prefer Delap if we’re getting a second, younger striker. Based on vibes only so do shoot me down with stats.

Delap along with Gyokeres would be ideal but it’s unlikely unless we sell Jesus or Trossard to help pay for it and free up the wages.
Also several other clubs are interested that might guarantee him regular first team football which might be more attractive to him.
